I drifted back to a relaxed state after waking up this morning. I found myself lying in my bed with roaring vibrations going through my body. I tried my best to remain calm and to move the vibrations throughout my body. After a few moments I decided to "roll out" of my body. I remember the feeling of motion and of my feet hitting my bedroom floor. "I did it!" I thought! But I had no sense of sight, I was blind!

My body still had remnants of vibrations running through it. I focused on my hands to ground myself in the experience. I made the command/intent "I wish to see my hands." Within a few moments I could begin to make out my hands. Then my entire room entered my visual field. I could see something lying in my bed, but I quickly turned away so I wouldn't reenter.

I was off balance and had trouble staying my feet. I fell to the floor once or twice as if I was intoxicated! The reality around me was almost morphing and contorting to my "dizziness" – for example when I fell near my window all my blinds wildly moved about in a strange fashion. Eventually I got up, gained my bearings, and flew right through the window.

I soared all around the street in front of my house. I fly by one of the houses down the street and noticed two little kids in the back yard. They seemed to be able to see me and I waved at them as I flew by. At first they appeared to be two boys, but later they may have changed into two girls. I believe they said, "Hey! We aren't taking visitors!" as I flew by.

I was so pleased by the dampness of the air. It felt like a damp, warm September morning, and I saw the sun poking through the clouds. I felt great. I fly around and marveled at my accomplishment. I decided I was going to fly into a tree and wait for a guide to come. But soon my vision would fade to black and I would wake up. In hindsight I should have focused on my hand to reground myself in the experience. I am very pleased with the progress I made in this experience and next time I will focus to prolong it.

Hallo cOsmOnautt
I believe the 2 hardest things to do after separating and getting OOB are
1) getting away from the physical body before that 'pull' brings one back to the physical and ends the OBE and
2) getting good vision.
I frequently manage to get OOB only to suffer from distorted and blurry vision. Perhaps looking at something close up and familiar, such as the hands, is the best idea. So you apparently did a very good job of managing both 1) and 2).
The part about the flying was also quite cool.

Aye I agree.  8-) Too many authors, perhaps because of their natural proficient ability, dismiss the part about maintaining the OBE after it is initiated.

Can't say I've experienced astral climate before, that is quite fascinating in itself.

Did you percieve an astral body or were you a point of consciousness?

c0sm0nautt

I perceived a body. I vividly remember my hands in front of me as I flew about. Are you usually just a point of awareness?

Thanks for sharing Cosmo, its always encouraging to read someone elses experiences, especially when you managed to progress to flying around the neighbourhood and had a variety of experiences within one projection. Good for you.
Many more flights.
Cheers djed  :-)

Yea, lately this has been the case. Even the past couple nights I've been projecting to this village with cartoonishly vivid colors but I feel somewhat removed from the environment without a body to interact with it. If I remember correctly I even tried manifesting an astral body but experienced bilocation instead. It seems I have a better chance at having an astral body when I become lucid in a dream rather than projecting from sleep paralysis. Anyway..
