Dream Observer

Hey guys, I had a few weird dreams lately where in my dreams i have been an observer actively participating and interacting in the dream scenario. I know that is contradictory i mean how can i observer a dream whilst interacting as well. It does'nt make sense.

In the dreams i feel like i am me but i am in a diffrent dream body or have a difrent role in society or a diffrent life most are fictional and based in fantasy. I feel as if i am choosing my actions in these dreams but maybe i am not , maybe these characters have already choosen the choice that i will pick in those dreams.

I know that for people with our unorthdox beliefs we get labelled alot as new age dreamers, people living in a fantasy, dullusional by members of our society although as we know for ourselves most of us not including kurtykurt are more grounded and down to earth and aware than the rest of society (only joking kurtykurt mate). So in my approach to astral projection as with most members who actively participate in this forum i try to use a scientific approach aswell as not jump to conclusions and never conclude anyhting irrational unless there is no room for ratioanlity.

In saying that , at first i broke my rule and jump to irrational cunclusions that maybe these dreams are my lifes in parelle universes or maybe in the past but the fact is i am not able to rule out the rational to be able to conclude the irrational thought that maybe i am right . The thing is although instictively i am sure that this could be true but whole heartdley i know this is wrong because the characters in those dreams have ranged from assasins to princes lol. so i guess ratioanlity steps in and kicks my butt back to reality and lets me know this cant be true.

But then what could these dreams be? I was consicous and aware in these dreams but they were nt lucid but felt luvid in a diffrent sense. they were very diffrent.

i have had similar experiences and came to some similar conclusions.  it really does feel like you're watching a movie of yourself while you're simultaneously in the movie.  you are in the reality of the movie, but you're also watching the completed piece.  strange indeed.  i also had an experience in hypnosis once where my awareness expanded into three different copies simultaneously, like mental tri-location, super odd.

The hypnosis thing sounds cool PR. I want to be hypnotised lol. I use to talk to my psyche teacher about projection and hypnosis alot and he was very open about projection. Its a good job he has an interest in parapsychology haha otherwise i might just have been sectioned lol.

I use to always hassel him at the pub and almost plead him to hypnotise me which he always refused but one time i had been watching Derren Brown on TV and sorta got spaced out and the teacher must have picked up on this and placed a hypnotic suggestion my way haha but i sorta picked up on it as soon as he done it so i think that prevented it from working effectively.

Sorry about the following i am half asleep and cant recall all the names and theories but i think it was hilgard who coined the phrase hidden observer which relates to how in hypnotism our consciousness shifts between different columns whilst it does nt in waking life so one day i asked my teacher if i am hypnotised when in trance but he said no. which is ashame lol

I've been having the same kind of dreams lately. A lot of them are me taking part in wars and battles. One was even against aliens on horseback!

I had one which spanned multiple lifetimes. In each lifetime I was a different person but had memories of the previous ones. Me and this other guy kept fighting these other people again and again.

Sometimes we would kill sometimes we would be killed. Our enemies were almost like old friends we had been fighting for so long. We didnt hate them but we stood for incompatible things so we had to hunt them down each time. It's the only dream in which I've experienced real joy in battle - as if it was what I(the character) was made to do. We were similar to humans in that dream but had extra abilities/powers.

I've been an assasin several times as well but never a prince.

Previous/concurrent lives or other peoples lives are my guesses. The things just feel like they actually happened.
