Strange "voices"

Hello all, first post!

I am just beginning to experience OBEs. It usually happens in the mornings in that half sleep/half awake time. It is often accompanied by a loud humming as I begin to pierce through the veil. Then it feels as though I roll out of my body and sink through the floor to some uncontrolled location. This has happened to me for several months now but only once every couple weeks - usually in the way I described.

Today was the first time I had some resemblence of control. Each "trip" was relatively short - up to a few minutes at a time. I had multiple trips, something like 5 which is unusual. Anyways I clearly remember "hearing" (in a telepathic kind of way) an entity saying "he's getting away" to another, maybe multiple others.

The first time I "got away" I met this girl who felt so perfect for me. It was a feeling unlike any other. After I met her I snapped back to my body and I felt sad because I didn't know how I was going to find her again. I went back out a couple of times - I eventually found her again and gave her a token that I created so I would know when I saw her.

Anyways it seems to me that there were entities that are trying to prevent me from going out. I would be interested in reading some insight about both the girl and the entities from people more experienced than myself.

If you think there are entities trying to prevent you from getting out, there will be entities trying to prevent you from "getting out". Don't forget that. :-D

Boom

Actually im also interested in this notion of "entities preventing you from OBE'ing"...

Is this possible?  Because, after some practice, I started getting regular OBEs.  Feeling the "woosh" or phase sensation as people describe.  Iw as doing it, I was breaking through the barrier and managing to succeed.  I would say i had about 3 or 4 OBEs all within a week.

Then, one day I managed to go further and project further. Had an awesome astral projection experience.  It didnt last hugely long, but it was abruptly ended by the feeling of someone grabbing my wrist and pulling me out.

Since then, I have had nothing. I dont even feel like I have got close. Its like the abilities I had worked up, and barriers I had passed through have completely and utterly gone. So is it possible for some reason I was pulled out of an AP and now being held back for some reason?

Or is it natural to have seasons as such.. Some weeks AP comes easy, other weeks it just seems impossible?

For me, the opposite is the case more often (also when I read other projection accounts than mine). I rather experienced (I assume benevolent) entities trying to help me to get out instead of keeping me in.

I used to hear clanking, crashing, snoring, threatening voices, traffic, humming, all sorts of noises for the first year I starting having OBEs. I've read, I think in "Astral Dynamics" (love that book), that it could be our unconscious mind setting up barriers for us NOT to consciously become astral either out of fear or some sort of protection mechanism because most people aren't equipped to consciously handle going astral since all your fears manifest in this state (and it takes awhile to slay all your dragons, dissolve all your devils, attack the thief in the night, send unconditional love to your mother in-law, whatever your bugaboo is).

I used to lift my astral hand and ask my guide to lift me out and I often felt a hand give me a pull so I see this as a good thing, not a negative one. This often worked until I started doing the rope technique which works faster and more reliably for me.

I find the faster I leave my body right after I feel myself separate the better the experience. I regularly fly through my window that is next to my bed (which supposedly takes you to the next higher dimension) so you don't get sucked back into your body by hanging out close to it and also don't deal with the lower astral thought forms that might populate this dimension. At least that's the theory I've read and experienced.

Hope this helps and don't give up. The first steps are the hardest but it becomes easier as you go.

Think about it like this.

When you're awake and focused in your physical body, your mind is used to constant data coming in from sensory systems.  You're constantly hearing, smelling, feeling, etc.  There are always sensory stimuli stimulating your body and brain and your mind interprets this into usable information.

When you're in the process of projecting and actually projecting, your mind is expecting sensory input from your body but it's not coming because you've disconnected your mind from your body (mostly).  Instead, your mind is experiencing a completely different kind of sensory input, astral sensory input.  It's a new and unusual signal that you mind may not fully understand yet, so it improvises.  You hear and see things in a effort for your mind to make sense of what's happening.

People also experience the feeling of "not being alone" or of being "watched" when they exit their bodies.  I think that they are just sensing themselves in a new way.  Suddenly you are the observer and there is no body to channel that observation through, so it makes you feel discarnate, which might be felt as a "presence".
be awesome.

Nothing can be said about these "astral people", they can be your own creations or can be real things. If you are new, you need not be concerned with precise answers, simply ignoring them works best.
Simply go on doing whatever you were doing as if you heard nothing.

I don't guarantee that this will work always, but if they are your own creations, they will fade as soon as your thoughts about them change (no thoughts at all).

Back before I started 'trying' to go OBE I would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and as I was drifting in and out of sleep I would hear voices in the next room. Nothing specific, just like a low, mumbling murmur of voices. I would think someone had left the TV on and just go back to sleep. One night it was very distinct and persistent so I got up and went out to the hallway to turn the TV off and when I got out there the noise stopped.
It was a little freaky.

Similar to your hearing voices from out of nowhere while awake, after meditating the other day I heard music (sort of like New Age sitar) for 5 minutes and I kept walking around the house to see where it was coming from until I plugged my ears and realized it was coming from my inside my head! Fascinating. (Dr. Oliver Saks wrote a book about people who hear music all the time so glad that isn't me.)

Hasn't happened before or since but could be related to hearing hi-def music in my dreams, usually original, and know that it's not coming FROM me but I'm beaming into some channel, perhaps not unlike Mozart who reportedly said he dreamed most of his compositions.

Yeah, I remember hearing the flute playing as I got up one morning. I told my wife and she was glad because she had heard 'music' quite a few times when I heard nothing. She punched me in the arm once when I said I couldn't hear it and she yelled, "It's LOUD!"...

There are meditation groups in India that can tell you what the different sounds mean in terms of the state of Consciousness one is tuning into when hearing various sounds. They claim to have it all mapped out. Many sounds extend from wayyyy beyond the Astral realm.

When your hearing these "entities" voices or sounds I assume this is taking place during the vibrational stage. And if your at that stage your basically almost out. --Now like Contenteo said "If you think there are entities trying to prevent you from getting out, there will be entities trying to prevent you from "getting out". Don't forget that. grin."

Use that as an advantage. Except when you get to the VibrationalStage concentrate on them actually pulling you out. Manifest that to help you get out, like a technique. Never forget your in absolute control. Think of these entities as helping you rather than...

Since no one is giving you a next action, here is one for you. Get 4 hours of sleep. Wake up for an hour, have breakfast until that "fuk it, i am going back to bed" feeling comes up. Lay down on your couch(not your bed), relax and notice. Visualize Visualize Visualize. Let it happen. Don't try or get up expectations, just enjoy that you are feeling good after a breakfast and you have the luxury of passin back out.

Best Wishes,
Contenteo
