I don't think it is all experience.  Some people can do it really well, but not much else.  Some people can do other things, but not any TK.  Some people just suck at everything (ahem. ME?).  Some people are good at everything (You know who you are...)

So, it isn't ever just experience.  If i have alot of experience in Table Tennis, it doesn't particularly mean i am good at tennis (even though i am....)  Don't know if thats a good example...

You get what I'm saying?

These sorts of things take time. Experience ain't got nothin to do with it. It's all in how developed you are and how many core skills you can accomplish.

All I know is that you need a reasonably developed energy body, and you have to be able to hold your mind clear for an indefinite period of time. Possible trance might help[?]

Good luck with that

No amount of rigorous training, sitting and doing nothing, and clearing one's mind can help a man who hasn't overcome his doubts.

I just wanted to know cause yesterday was my second, but first serious, attempt and I did it. I tried again this morning and got it to go around five times without stopping, but then I quit. Thanks for answering.

Squeek: I don't even know how to make a psi wheel. Isn't that sad.
And that was a good example, althoigh it would have been better without the "even though I am" part. That was just confusing.

Squeek

Erm. i wonder why the code in my previous post didnt work.  Oh well...

On that link, there is some good information, techniques, stuff like that.  And yes Panabelle, there are instructions on psiwheel construction.

It's a very well thought out article.  Read it.

Astpro

Could someone please enlighten me on what we are talking about?

I have Astral Dynamics, but not new energy ways, is this covered in that book?

Squeek

This topic was about telekinesis in general AstPro.  I gave that link because it has a bunch of good tips to get you started on it.  I doubt this is covered in that book.  You may have to browse the internet.

Astpro

I obviously didn't work out the abbreviation before. If telekinesis can happen, is it a good thing to do? I read somewhere else that doing telekinesis could be detrimental to energetic development, should people really do it? I think it is useful to do to convince you in a short experiment. But the long term effects could be contrary to what you want to achieve energetically.

Derk

So I shouldn't practice TK  yet?

kakkarot

oh, well if you can already do it fairly well, keep doing it (while you practice with energy manip and sensing.)

~kakkarot

sargon

I did it on my first try, but then had to practice hard after that, and still can't control it fully.

It's up to you if you want to practice it or not, if you did it on the first try then obviously you're ready!

As far as I'm concerned the only bad side of TK is loss of telekinetic energy. When people who have been training TK for a long period of time get angry, lights have been known to flicker, glass breaks, or worse. Also if you have really bad dreams or are stressed when you go to sleep large, heavy objects will to be found levitating when you wake up, and in completely the wrong place.

Well with a clear enough mind it's controllable. The lights flickering thing is a pretty cool way to scare people though![:P]

Aren't you getting a little carried away, that is what happens in film. Do you have any exidence that it has happened in real life.

Derk

panabelle

Nah, not you, innocent newbie. [|)] Astpro meant Fat Turkey.

But Derk, I just want to know: why do you want to learn TK? Just because it's cool? I just want to know because I want to learn it too but can't find any real purpose for it or excuse *cough* reason that it would be a good skill to learn. I mean, besides never having to get up to get the remote control. [:D]

Derk

innocent newbie?[xx(] My excuse is I want to learn.

panabelle

Well YAH but...I don't know. To me, "I feel like it" and "it's cool" never justified the hours (days? months? years?) of practice needed to learn such a thing.

And I was joking about the newbie thing. [|)] Just a friendly jest...

Derk

I hope this is in the right topic. How experienced do you have to be in order to make a psi wheel move?
