Last week I had my first real astral experience and it was totally by accident didn't even mean to.And I met someone but I'm not really sure who he is or if he's alive or dead.I remember floating and being very afraid because I was in this darkness then I started to realize I was surrounded by stars.And then this man comes rushing over to me and he's smiling.But he's didn't look human.He was just a body of blue energy and he sparkled.I didn't know who he was at first.He would say things to me but he would do it telepathically and he took my hand and we started flying around and we were picking up all this energy and it felt so awesome and all of a sudden I took another look at this man and felt really ashamed because I knew him,I remembered his energy from somewhere it just took me a bit to realize it.Then he lets go of my hand and we start chasing each other like it's a game flying around and we were having a lot of fun.Then I'm chasing him through this thick sea of red and blue energy and then it started getting harder to move and I lose him and it's over. :cry:Felt like he was an old lover but not from this life

Has anyone else ever had something like this happen to them?Do you think he's a guide or someone from a past life or.....idk what to think Ideas anyone?

my first projection I also had a guide. I had no control over where my body was. The guide could have been a figment of my imagination, created by myself, a spirit, or an experienced traveler. but he knew me so well that it was weird to me. He knew I loved orange tic tacs and he showed me how to make them appear in my hand. I never focused on him very well but I could only make out a torso and head. he had no legs but more of a foggy energy under him. He would use Eric Cartman's voice from southpark to make me laugh. I do not know where these guides come from, but they are very good signs of positive energy. My guide told me that he could not be near me if I got scared. When I saw two more figures approaching (young female girl and older girl) I got scared. My guide kindly said "okay man. you're getting negative and scared, I have to go." then he vanished. I got extremely scared trying to float away as fast as possible while wishing to wake up. I left the place I was and while wishing to awake I heard his voice say "there ya go, wake up and I'll see you again" I haven't seen the entity since that experience. but they exist for alot of people. I think we are very lucky to have friendly guides.

Sounds like a magical experience... intuition, as was mentioned, is your best indicator in the astral. If you want to return to this place and this entity remember and hold onto what it felt like to be there.

Whether it was a regular dream or not can only be answered by the OP.
If the OP was aware and totally in control of what was going on, and the experience was strong and vivid, then I guess it would be a projection.

Whether this entity you interacted with, was a part of you (ie you made him up) or external, then who knows? the only way to find out is to gather information about him whilst in a projection and look up the information you found in the physical and compare.

When I encounter someone there I'll ask them who they are, why their there, stuff like that. Alot of times theyl tell me their name. Sometimes theyl give me their first n last names. I usually will right it down after a projection and google the name about a 20 Xs and see if I could come up with something.  I have a list of names a page long of people I met over the years during obes that I have no idea if they really exist. Its real interesting though. Sometimes i'll even make them spell their name for me to make sure i google it the right way. Which is cool in itself cause how would I create that with my subconscious, which makes me think that I really did just meet this person in the astral.

Ive also asked some of the people if they knew things and even got lottery numbers. I have a set of numbers I play every week that I got from some little arab/indian(not sure) guy named Lenny, that I met I met during a projection, that never won me a dime yet.

If you encounter someone during an obe, try to have a conversation. Ask questions that you dont have the answers to and then check if there right. You might find something pretty interesting, I always mess around like this lookn for some type of verification.
