Hi all,

Had an interesting experience last night.  I was lying on my 4yr olds floor with the wife as we do every night when we put him to bed and I drifted off.  Next minute I recall opening my eyes and seeing my wife sat next to me on the floor.  Then suddenly I was awake and opened my real eyes to see my wife lay down on the floor.

This coincided with me starting to do binaural beats and Astral Projection practice again after a few weeks break.

Was this an OBE or was I just dreaming?  It seemed pretty real for the instant that it occured.

It was what I call a "dream awareness experience".
You phased (yup, phasing) into the non-physical, but were unaware of it.

What you want to do is exactly what you did, but retain full conscious awareness DURING and INTO the shift.  :)

Hi Xanth,

Thanks for the reply.  I appreciate it.  I have only recently started to explore the possibilities of AP again after trying about 9 years ago, without success.

Earlier this year I started trying again using Binaurals which I hadn't  used in the past.  Just a bit of background on where I am with this.

Anyway after the experience I described in my post above I had another thing happen.  I had drifted out of consciousness on my lads floor again and suddenly became conscious to the sensation of my body rocking backwards and forwards rapidly, but then my tummy rumbled and the sensation disappeared.

The strange thingis I can remember having this sensation throughout my life before I had even heard about AP.  I also get this when I am listening to the Binaurals.  I asked my wife if she ever experiences this and she said she never had.

What is this rocking sensation?  Is it related to AP and what do I do next?

All help appreciated, I am determined to achieve AP this time round.

Thanks.

The rocking sensation is probably your energy body being active. You want this as it's a great time to project. Try to become one with these sensations... nothing exists besides the energy and your awareness of it. It takes focus though, don't let your mind wander.

Yup William Buhlman is right. You stand a far better chance of having a non physical experience if you attempt it in a place where you wouldnt normally sleep.
The fact you stay in your childs bedroom for a while, until he goes to sleep is a perfect place. Because on one hand youre layed down on the floor and relaxing, but on another, youre partially alert in case your son needs anything.

When I was younger before I started to induce it, I remember like once a month I would rearrange my bedroom. I would clean my room, dust it, move the furniture and my bed around to different parts of the room and for some reason this would always trigger an obe that night when I would go to bed.

It always gave me the feeling like it was a new room but the downside was the obe. I hated it when I was younger, absolutely despised the vibrations and it always led to something terrifying. Funny how things change when ya grow up.
