lucid dream to projection

dream

ive read multiple places online that some people can project out of a lucid dream. how does one do this successfully?? I've been having difficulty figuring this out..

example: last night while in a dream, I realized my car was a different color. I knew it was a dream and became lucid. I then stopped walking to the car and thought forcefully "I will project" the dream fell away, and there was darkness. I noticed my body position was different than that of my physical body position and pulled out of it into a sitting position, as I rolled onto the floor I saw the bodies of 6 or 7 sleeping children on the floor. last time I left my body (the only time I was successful) I was immediately snapped back into it, so this time I ran for the door. once I got to the hallway, I tried to fly and ended up loosely floating along the wall and onto the ceiling. this wasn't right, so I thought I needed to be outside and was immediately in front of my front door, I opened it to see brilliant daytime with heavy red and fold fabric stream hanging outside.. I willed myself to fly and finally did it. then out of nowhere I woke up.

I'm having a hard time distinguishin if it was a lucid dream? or projection? coming out of body felt right but the last part makes no sense

how DOES one project from a dream? did I do it?

NoY

it was a OBE i would say you did it just right , a lucid dream is a projection, and then you went
back to your body and had a classic OBE
Gratz on the OBE  8-)

In my opinion you're already projecting, you just need to bring about your full "waking awareness".
A lucid dream (or as I call it a lucid awareness experience) is a projection that the only thing you realize is that you're dreaming.

This is what I usually do to increase my awareness and attain that "waking awareness" that I speak of:  http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/01/how-i-convert-a-lucid-dream-into-an-astral-projection/

Someone posted a nice little questionnaire, I've adjusted it slightly for my own perceptions.

Answer the following questions:
Did you realize you were dreaming? (just that single objective, did you know you were dreaming?)
A. Yes
B. No

Did you have a "waking awareness", in that you had all your physical memories and knew who and where you were.)
C. Yes
D. No

Answers:
A & C = Astral Awareness Experience
A & D = Lucid Awareness Experience
B & C = Dream Awareness Experience
B & D = Dream Awareness Experience

I'm starting to think the RTZ is completely expectation and belief based. RTZ = the Shamanic "middle world"? How about you guys?

It's a possibility but some people have apparently been able to find objects or observe events that really happened (mine would fall in the latter category). Perhaps it never really is the physical realm in Mode 1 OOBEs, but rather, something closely related to it which also shares a connection with our collective unconscious.

Mode 2 OOBEs also have their collective level. I once entered the Phase and found elements in an environment which appeared to be manifestations of my neighbour's boyfriend's subconscious. I found this blue camper van:

And I found it quite odd because I had never seen vans like that in the area before. The experience coincided with the night that her boyfriend stayed over. He lives a few blocks away and I was soon to realise that there is always a blue camper van like the one in the picture at the end of his road. Coincidence or do we get access to other people's dreams in the Phase? Perhaps there is a dream version of my area collectively manifested. Who knows? A plane where everyone's thoughts mix?

Back to RTZ...they could be ethereal 'templates' for our physical matter reality...here's an interesting quote from Thomas Campbell in which your "expectation" view may have some truth to it:

"All potential choices not made remain unactualized potential states (possible realities) and have associated expectation values. The complete state vector of Our System containing all actualized and unactualized choices is saved in The Big Computer."

- My Big TOE: Inner Workings

Food for thought. 8-)

Those "possible realities" don't manifest though.  The choices never happened, so they remain in the "past" unactualized database, as he calls it.  You can peruse this database though, and choose different "choice paths" and see how they play out.

For example, Tom recalled one time when he played out the scenario that Hitler won WW2... he found that as he played through the scenario, when he got to present day, he found that to his surprise, not much actually changed in the world.  But all that happened was unactualized data from the past database.  All choices NOT made.

So, according to MBT Theory, there is only this ONE "Present" Physical Reality Frame.

Summerlander

Yes. According to him there is only one...apparently. Perhaps what is unactualised here is actualised in another OS. Well, not really an OS...more like AS...Another System... :-D

You either believe in the wave collapse, or you believe that all possibilities are already manifest (many worlds interpretation) and the wave collapse is only an illusion from our perspective.

who do you think the sleeping children were?

They could, literally, be or mean anything.
It's up to the original poster to put everything together in their own context and figure it out.

It's like me asking someone what does the colour "Red" mean to you?  It means different things to different people... Rose, Blood, Fire...

dream

hey! thanks to everyone for all of your help!! I'm still confused as to what the sleeping children mean.. I've only successfully projected twice since I have been practicing. the first time there was one sleeping girl lying next to me, the last, there were 6 or 7 of them lying on the floor. confusing. I just thought it means something since I keep seeing sleeping women lying around me

dream

it's been quite sometime since I posted this topic.. I thought some may be interested to know that I have a theory who the sleeping children were. when I posted this topic, it had been 1 month before my husband proposed to me. 6 month after we were engaged and about a week after we were married we got pregnant. I believe at least one of the kids was my daughter, hanging out and waiting for the right time to come into being. if astral time is all time, spirits on the other side potentially know the possibilities of what's to come. I have gone astral since my daughter was born, and met another child sleeping at the foot of the bed, she is either another daughter I have yet to have. or she is simply a guardian?
