Has anyone read the book "Far Journeys" by Robert Monroe? It is mentioned that someone came into contact with astral bodies who were "waiting" for their physical bodies to die so they would not have to go back. Is this even possible...

Do youu mean like people in pain and stuff? Like when Munroe said he didnt let himself project during an operation cause he knew he wouldnt be able to force himself to go back to that pain.
