Hello, I have been having some odd things happen to me while I have been attempting to astral project and I would like to know if they are normal or if they signify that I am getting close to actually projecting.

Firstly one thing that happens to me when I am deepening my relaxed state is random muscles on my body seem to twitch, It's quite odd but every minute or so when I am attempting to AP a random muscle on my body will twitch, the twitches aren't very severe but they are extremely random and seem to jump across my body, for example first I will feel a twitch on my thigh, then on my arm, then my eye, and so on and so forth. Another thing I feel is it feels like small currents of "electricity" going through random body parts  when I am deep in relaxation, same as the twitching it happens completely in random body parts and it only happen for about 10 seconds at the most until it stops.

The aforementioned things happen quite frequently so I have gotten fairly used to them, but yesterday something extremely freaky happened. I was listening to "Hemisync Gateway Experience" and relaxing myself and I kind of started to ignore the instructions that I was being given in the audio. My entire body was basically numb, but the feeling of my breathing was starting to annoy me. So I started to concentrate on my breathing to see If I could "relax" my breathing.

Instead what happened was I stopped breathing, I became alarmed for a few seconds but I then felt my breath going out of my nostrils and realized that I was breathing, I just was not aware of it and I had no feeling of air entering my throat and I had no control of it either, I was kind of excited but also scared because of this, but the audio was getting to the end and I remembered I had to leave in 10 minutes so I awoke my body. So I was wondering if it is normal or necessary that my body began breathing by itself along with the other feelings I listed above.

One final thing, sometimes I begin to see random colors through my eyelids when I am in deep relaxation, for some reason the color most often tends to be a navy blue, but sometimes it's red, it seems when I concentrate on the colors though they disappear.

Any responses are appreciated,

There are a number of things that you undergo on the way to learning Astral Projection. You have only begun to touch the surface here, get ready for a wild ride. But you must allow these things to occur and let them pass on to the next stage. Twitches/Vibrations/phantom limbs/colored lights, these all signposts of the Astral. The trick is to just observe and release. If an itch becomes intolerable you can always scratch it then return to your session. There is no rule book that applies to the Astral on this, but you have to get used to things that you don't usually have occur to you in the physical. Just know though that when in the Astral, your physical body controls itself, your heart keeps beating, blood pumping, lungs breathing. You have to bypass your fear to really Astral Travel. When I had these things occur, I said to myself that no matter what happens I am going to achieve my goals. If I don't come back, then so be it. That's how serious I was and am about this, this is why alot of people fail. They have a couple of unusual symptoms and that's it, they are done.
Good Luck!

Like Lionheart said, just notice what is happening, don't judge it and continue on. It sounds like you were very close to Focus 10.

IMO the body twitches and itches are subtle attempts by your ego or some inner safety mechanism to dissuade you from continuing.

Have faith that your bodily functions will continue without your conscious attention, just as they do 99% of the time.

It's a cool feeling when you realize your physical body is still doing it's thing and your consciousness is totally disconnected and free to roam into other territories.

Beyond the random colors, you may begin to experience vivid hypnagogic hallucinations, whether they are whispers or seemingly evil presences, ignore them; they are still attempts from your ego/whatever to stop/challenge your progress; ignore/accept them and move on. Control of your emotions is the key. When you can successfully do that, you will have made significant progress. Then you can find room to maneuver
And explore.
