I've never projected myself, but was wondering if its possible for someone who has become accustomed to projecting help
one achieve an out of body experience. i think i understand the chances of this being an "no"  :-P never hurt to ask.

also, i read that once out of your body one could meet a group of other people projection and have an amazing adventure together.
is that true?

one more thought, the light that you surround yourself with is very important and if there are no limitations in the astral plains, is it possible
to imagine the light as a suit of armor with like an astral sword to protect yourself and others who are in danger from creatures?

i appreciate any response to my questions, Thank you

You mean someone else pull you out?  Some people think this is possible.  I dunno really.
If it's possible, in the end, it doesn't teach YOU anything.  :)

Apparently so.

You may use whatever metaphor you wish.  Yours would be adequate.

:)

your right, this is something to teach myself.
im just a little excited i suppose, i want to know so much more about life and what it has to offer
but getting there is the hardest part, My determination will NEVER fail!

Thank you, kind words and a positive attitude is always appreciated.

Allow me to start you off with this:  http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/how_to_experience_the_larger_reality_tom_campbell-t35091.0.html

In my opinion, it'll get you going in the right direction.  :)
I consider the video in that link to be a per-requisite for learning to project.

Peregrine91

Wow!, thank you so much!
that video answered so many questions and gave me a new understanding

It's 1 1/2 hours long.
It's not possible for you to have watched the whole thing since I posted it!!  :)

Peregrine91

i know, just the first 25, 30 minutes was an eye opener and knew from that point on i was going to like it  :-)

i did finish watching it though, i've searched all over youtube trying to find a video like that
i guess i was searching for the wrong thing but thanks again for the link i'll listen to it again and again.

do you project?
i know its a trial an error type of experiment but when i lay down, clear my mind, and focus on either becoming lucid or actually
going through the process of projection consciously however i don't seem to get to the stages i need to be at. Perhaps i could
be doing something wrong?
any suggestions or ideas would help.

Boom

Hi peregrine91,

Just wanted to welcome you to the pulse.
The video posted is fantastic.   The wider reality is very subjective.. so if you feel there are dangers out there, then thats what you'll see. So essence, if you crate yourself a white light, or a suit of armour. Then you are creating a shield for the danger you create yourself?  Seems a bit pointless if you ask me.  Don't create the danger in the first place and you wont need to create a shield.
However, its natural to be fearful when you first astral project. Even if you dont feel particularly scared. So I guess its why they say to do that.

Patience, and keep trying. It'll happen. It just happens, and when it does its like wow! and then you'll want it to happen again and again and it'll take more patience.

Even the most skilled astral projectors cant say "I can astral project whenever I like" its really difficult. But you can do it. You'll find your own technique.  For me, its becoming aware in a dream. I can get to more non physical states by sort of going as if im going to sleep then realising as im drifting that im attempting to AP, and then usually i feel the whooooosh feeling which is a very different feeling to the feeling of falling asleep trust me :)

Youre amongst a good community here. :)

Good Luck

I do.  I don't do it as often as I like.  Lately I've been averaging about once a month or so.
I've been more preoccupied with just meditating.

If you're attempting to do this "anytime / anywhere" then you'll first need to learn how to meditate.  We meditate to get into the perfect state to project.
Likewise, you could practice upon waking from sleep or a nap... you're usually already in that "perfect state" at that point.  So it's much easier.

But yeah, I'd work on meditation anyway... once you get proficient at meditation, everything else metaphysical will come naturally.  :)

Hi, Boom
Thanks! you know every time i get on this forum i get a reply or a read a post and it makes me rethink a lot
like a new approach to understanding.
i never made that connection to the white light and danger before like you did, i appreciate it!

i understood that from the beginning, to meditate was the "key"
never meditating before i started getting familiar with AP or OBE's, your right! im sure you get told that everyday just about
but it feels great to just clear my mind of everything!
can i ask, how do you meditate?

I absolutely LOVE the feeling of a clear and focused consciousness.  It has as much benefit for my body as it does for my mind.
Lately, I've been doing the noticing exercise a lot that Frank Kepple used to teach, and that I now teach too.  It's a visually-oriented exercise in, how I describe it is "pushing" your awareness into the blackness behind your eyelids (when you close them) along with 'noticing' any changes in the field I'm viewing.  :)

The 3D darkness zone that comes from noticing can be one of the most peaceful and relaxing energies there is.

I agree!
can you go into a little more detail about Frank Kepple's meditation technique?
or possibly a link?
:-)
