Who is the Watcher?

G,day Vallk

I,ve heard this term "The Watcher" used before,but have not got anything in print that tells me about the concept.
From what I could tell there can be so many possibilties as to the
identity of the watcher,I think the word though needs examination in
context with what is being said.Where did you hear this term & do
you have it in print?
It could be a 1)Dream 2)Future aspect of you 3)a guide 4)an observer
who is either conscious or unconscious & interacting in your OBE or
anything.3)some might even say an angel & some may say death.

I just feel it's a bit of a generalization "The Watcher" as we are
all Watchers anyway.Is there a reference to where you got this term

And also I am reading a book right now which is "the art of dreaming" by Carlos Castaneda. In the book, the author talks about the constant presence of a kind of a watcher. He can talk to this watcher and ask questions. This watcher is supposed to know what the dreamer knows itself, but may formulate it in another way.

The Watcher was that dude in those Marvel "What If..." comics!! He used to explain what would have happened in the future if the past had been different to what it originally was... Don't laugh I think those comic book writers knew what they were talking about eg. I never used to know a thing about APs back when I used to read them, but recently I re-read some of them and I see Magneto explaining to someone that he is having a real time Astral Projection!!

But none of you have the sensation of someone watching you while in an OBE? I have read that at different places.

Who is it?

Some say it is another ourselves watching on you.
Some others say he is our astral guide.

Does anyone here have ever met hs Watcher?
Is the Watcher always following us?
