I'm really getting tired of all of damned astral projection failed attempts. I have yet to have even 1 and I've been here almost a year or 2.

I tried it all

- Doing it right after I wake up
- Before sleep
- Rope method
- Falling method
- Floating method
- 100 countdown to 0 method
- This method
- That method
- No method

etc etc, point is I tried a LOT of methods for 2 years and had 0 astral projections.

This is complete BS.

I been going at this for about two months I think... I have had one OBE. I can Definitely see where you are coming from because I thought I wasn't doing good...

Are you going to keep at it? All I can say is to keep trying and trying because the experience really pays off. Now that I know I can do it I will never give up. But, it sure does get frustrating at times always having failed attempts. Then again... It's fun to observe what your body does that you normally don't realize before it goes to sleep!

If you want to talk feel free to PM me man.

I was in the same situation, until I had my first one in 2 years a few weeks ago, when I wasnt trying.
From reading other peoples experience, it seems that alot of the time it happens when you arent trying  :?
If you havent already, maybe you should take a break  :-)

From the tone I get from your post (I'm so sick of this) and (This is complete bs) it seems to me that you need some time off, possibly to catch up on your sleep and reevaluate why you want to do it.  Because it seems to me it isn't working on more than one level.

Hey,
Have you ever thought that you may be trying too hard. Any frustration and its gone. Get annoyed enough to totally quit.
Wait a few days, to recharge.
Try nothing.
expect nothing.
Do nothing.
Dont even think of it.
GO TO SLEEP.

Ok at some point your subconcious will take over. You have done the trying and this will be imprinted within you.
Give it a go, you never know.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

I have been taking breaks, a even gave up sometimes in the 2 years and took a few weeks off - a month.

Don't try too hard, if you force yourself you'll be blocked. A good meditative technique that will guarantee you results is called, http://www.vipassanadhura.com/howto.htm#aa by which you observe everything that happens when you are either in meditation or deeply relaxed waiting for the switch to occur (OBE). However, the practice requires consistent and daily practice.

I know Vipassana meditators that have experienced OBE during walking meditation, deeply relaxed and concentrated in the subtle changes of the mind-body, yes they were walking!  :-o

Keep going without any expectations, not everyone is a gifted, at will OBE projector.

Good luck.

Can i ask you?  Did you go straight to trying to AP as sson as you found out?

The reason I ask is that when I first started learning about AP I was actually afraid but I was very eager to learn and read stories bout AP, read Robert Monroe books, Bruce Moen and I was constantly reading here in the forums as well, during all this time I did not ateempt it once because I was in fear of what I might encounter but after four months it just happened, so my point is:  I got my mind set on astral projection, got ready without even knowing it, so it just happened.

It seems to me you may trying to hard and from my experiences having an AP is about being the most relaxed, letting go of everything and just letting it happen.

Good luck

I learned about AP when I was 14, had tons of sleep paralysis happening to me from 10-13, so yeah when I learned SP was me getting close to APing, I dived into it.

A lucid dream is a type of astral projection, so you are half way there. Perhaps you should read up on lucid dream techniques. The best way to have lucid dreams is to immerse yourself in the literature, read a lot about it. You will probably find yourself spontaneously having lucid dreams. Once you get the hang of lucid dreaming you can use this as a spring board for AP and OBE

It really can be frustrating. I finally had my first one after a little over a year of attempting.
Now I feel more confidant that I will have them more frequently now that I have experienced it.
