Hi,
Your breathing naturally slows but stopping.....
Ive never heard of this as an occurance but thinking it stops may be the problem. As you get deeper into the phase theres a point when you let go of your physical, just before the exit where you are aware and concious. At this point Ive not been aware of the physical at all as being aware will prevent the exit. Go with the flow and dont worry.
This happens when you go to sleep every night and your entering dreamland. Im sure you wake up every day too.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Believe it or not, this is usually just another one of "road signs". I used to have this problem until I realized that I was being challenged to see how far I would go. My answer for that was to the max and I said to myself "bring it on". You really have to let go of every fear you have to be able to Phase successfully and that means the fear of death. Robert Monroe talked about this himself, he said that he got to a point where he decided he was going to do this no matter what and that nothing was going to stop him.
Good Luck  :-)

It's all part of the meditation game. The reason you choke up is because your attention is being drawn to the fact that you have stopped breathing and then you start to worry about why you are not breathing and your mental chatter starts back up again which means you will have to start breathing again to support your thinking process. When the body is still and the mind is still, the breath is still.  The only advice I can give you is to accept it and move beyond it. It won't hurt you, just keep your mind still. Don't let it distract you, it is quite natural. It is called the breathless state.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.
