Nausea after emotions meditation

I've been doing a meditation for a few days which involves becoming conscious of your emotions. I've had a lot of success with it and feel amazing afterwards but then a few hours later I get very bad nausea. I've also been experiencing really bad depression which seems related to the meditations.

1. Is this something which will pass with regular practice?
2. Is this happening because I'm overdoing it due to success? I have a habit of trying to bring it out into the real world and do it all the time but maybe I'm trying to move forward too quickly.

I had some similar issues when I started doing energy work. I would get very irritable and emotionally sensitive to everything. I remember wondering if I should lay off and let it pass or if I should push through it, and asked for advice but never received any, so I stuck with my gut and pushed through.

After a couple weeks, not only did everything level off, but I balanced out nicely and came out with good energy. I think it was what's referred to as a "blockage", but I'm not sure, I just stuck with my instinct.

Maybe you could do some energy work like NEW to help balance yourself out. I don't really know if any of this applies to your situation or not, so use your intuition on how to proceed. If you feel you need a break, take one.

Yes I feel much better today. I kept going with it even though the depression and nausea continued until this morning. Then things suddenly got a lot better. I can't rule out the possibility that it will keep happening until I've spent a couple more weeks at this.

I stopped doing things like OBE and NEW years ago I just tend to use the forum for any questions like this I have. I just wish there was a dedicated meditation forum as meditation is central to many spiritual practices.
