Seeing shapes and lines in Non focused vision

Hi all, I have lately been paying attention to these abstract shapes and lines in my field of vision. They are sort of a dull glow of whitish yellow color. I think they have always been there but remained largely ignored (by me). They disappear as soon as I actually try and focus on them. They appear around the periphery of where I am looking, almost as if in their own space. Does this sound at all familiar? Could I actually be sensing something, or are these just tricks?

They might just be eye-floaters, particles inside the aqueous humour of the eye.

They are more than likely physical (your rods and cones doing their thing) but if you can control what you 'see' then you can use them for meditative purposes.
If they are the really bright yellow/white blobs that you see in the bottom periphery (outward like making a 'U or C' around your vision) it's retinal fatigue, but it sure is cool to watch.  And I second what I said above.

interesting. i guess i was wondering if it's possible to "see" astral figures while awake. I remember reading something by Rudolph Steiner where he said you could develop the ability to see astral bodies in your normal waking life.

I had a friend who could, but she was naturally talented that way.  I certainly can't, but I'm not naturally visual, it seems.

Ive chased a guy at my workplace many years ago. He pressed hard on my shoulder and ran. I heard the footsteps thinking one of the lads is having a laugh to see him fade into thin air while running. None of the lads heard anything but me. Asking questions to the old timer he said a guy hung himself up in that department many years ago. He was serious about it too and asked did I see blue smoke too. I  did but never said anything of this fact.

I can also perceive astral beeings, if i want (But i need a slight relaxations or the "focus on the field of view"). Its like watching aura, but astral beeings look different than auras which are observed on physical liveforms.

It is possible to learn to switch off such abilities, if they are not needed. I can switch on and off my ablities if needed or not needed.

Yes it can be learned (Like the observing of auras). It is even easier than learning to make intentional out of body experiences. Learning to see random visible energy experiences is one of the easiest supernatural things.

About that guy, in the department... I don't think it's 'his' ghost.
I think it's one of his servitors, he was probably an advanced shadow magick practicioner.
It seems to me that the blue smoke is the living physical equivalent of the servitor.  Like some kind of highly concentrated nether cloud, but frozen and burst into myst which burns.
The nature of this spirit is to appear by 'burning his image' into the reality.  A higher archetype form of the servitor and the spiritual equivalent of the man has become a power conduit to it's manifestation. 

Quite likely, whoever is experiencing this is living some kind of intensity where these astral servitors are manifesting.
The intensity of which, may be only the equal value of polarity at a fixed strength.  And on which occassion, it must charge, store, potentify, and release the energy.

The generation of a psionic complex which constructs the reality according to fixed principles of physical law.  Physical law as the quantum variable structure which is generated by a single influx of 'hyper space', an invocation of the Divine Life Principle.

I know several mediums who seem to be able to see spirits with little to no apparent effort. I have confidence that I'll get to that talent or skill in time.

Also, regarding your third eye, I don't think that the third eye is the same for everyone.  It comes down to the awareness based on your celestial alignment/activation, and the internal reality which is concentrated from that celestial template.

I remember seeing all kinds of things with my physical eyes, not hallucinations, as they would be called by some, but more energetic phenomena.  Just recently, after an attempted suicide with pills, I seen the apparition of an occult man which my cat also seen and attacked as it neared my body.  It seemed to be, on par with reality, an apparition. 

Sometimes, letting go of your focus of one reality and shifting into another is all it takes to continue living your life.  I think that's basically what phasing is, shifting your awareness to a different celestial/soul alignment.  It's free forming, spontaneous, a true creative reality.  Inherently, you probably want to experience seeing these shapes and lines.  Perhaps people who see spirits have a highly active social past life, or they are in a position where they can be of greater service to God/humanity by their communication and development of mediumship/channeling.

I know that after I've had a real sincere meditation, and I open my eyes, I see white light coming symeterically out of every object, so bright that it is blinding.  One time, I meditated with my eyes open, and seen a symbol like graffiti become the object I was looking at.  A lot of it is hidden fear/desire, bad mixes produce scarey experiences.  Courage and Faith can beat a lot of the neg energy.

Keep it up.  Psychic ability works on a principle that the more you use it, the stronger you become.  At the same time, things you've never done before can start to crop up if you are getting bored with ordinary life, and new experiences begin as a phasic shift back to the baseline/spiritual dimension.  You'll be ok, glad you are having these new experiences.
