Hello everyone  :-)
Ive been browsing this forum for a while and finally thought i would take the plunge and join  :-).
Ive had a spiritual interest now for around two years and have been meditating on and off during this period, starting off again around two months ago. I hope those of you with experience would be good enough to guide me through some questions I may have later and help me obtain the best that works for me as Ive found the internet can be minefield when searching for information.

What really inspired me to join this forum is a Lucid Dream I had a few days ago,

The dream started to get interesting when I remembered looking up into the night sky whilst walking out on the street, my friend told me to look up as there were large shooting stars zipping across the sky, as I looked up I saw what I thought were two moons in the sky, although on closer inspection it was actually a Earth type planet with a moon underneath, as if they were joining together, I felt this was familiar in some way and looked for our Moon in the rest of the sky, found our Moon and the Sun! However it wasn't the Sun it was moving across the sky, I felt a strong urge to follow the Sun, this too felt familiar.

I next remember arriving at a scene in a grassed open area with a Tree and flat rocks underneath and the Sun coming down from the sky, everything lit up like a bright summers day, but the light was brilliant Gold, everything turned into a golden colour all around. As the sun was directly overhead I outstretched my right arm and waved my fore finger at the Sun saying 'OK Guys no scary stuff!' , I know I'm a complete lightweight!!

The thing I see is what I can only describe as a white 2D paper angel floating down from the sky on my left, it looked like it had been cut from a piece of white paper, it strangely occcilated like a wave and got smaller and smaller as it got nearer the ground in front of me before finally dissolving in to floor, I actually remember thinking or even saying 'oh, come on!' as it came down, meaning to say that I wasn't that much of a coward!
I was stood there basking in the golden light, when I felt a presence of two beings on my right, they were laid on the flat rocks under the tree with me, I perceived these as children in a submissive position as not to scare me and was aware that I needed to communicate with them. I asked them where their home Planet was, I received an answer, however I cannot remember it, I can also remember not understanding the answer! I also asked if the Planet was on our Earth star Maps, which was answered no.
After this I remember looking over my right shoulder at the bright Sun which was previously directly over the Tree and now looked to be directly over my shoulder, pulsing an intense shimmering Golden energy through my body,I remember pushing my arms out full stretch to bask in its energy as it ran through every part of my being, I was totally at peace, it was the best feeling I have ever experienced and wish ever so strongly to feel it again.

I awoke feeling absolutely happy and had to share this experience! Apologise as Ive had to shorten the experience as it difficult to describe some of it.

Has anyone had an experience like this? It kind of felt like a religious experience, I'm not Religious BTW, more agnostic.

Greetings Stevieboy and welcome.
A Very interesting dream.  It could be that
A) there was a lot of symbolism there created and stored inside your subconscious that came out during the dream providing previously hidden information, or
B) Some of what you encountered during the dream had an independent existence outside of your mind, again providing new information.
Or maybe both A and B occurred in varying degrees.

Mind food for thought  :-)

Close your eyes and open your mind.

Welcome, you will find a lot of like minded people here. So you will blend in perfectly. You will find even in the Astral that it is hard to remember how you arrived somewhere, you just did. Example, you are on a beach, lying in the sun on a chair, next thing you hear something behind you. You don't need to turn your head because you can see 360 degrees, you see a pyramid, you wonder what's inside the pyramid. The next thing you know you are in the pyramid, you don't remember walking, you are just there because thought = action. It feels great when you awaken in the morning with the memory of the beautiful landscape you just encountered still intact and if you awaken abruptly due to a nightmare, just re script it and change the circumstances, that's always fun too.
Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Thanks to everyone for the welcome and the advice,

Ive been keeping a dream journal for two weeks now and although I'm a little lazy in leaving the writing until I wake up in the morning (before I get out of bed) I have noticed some patterns, namely that me noticing the moons and light in the sky is a starter to having a dream similar to the one I posted first, in this one I became conscious that I was dreaming, however I became really excited, tried to fly out of the window whilst shouting WEEEEEEEEE! and unfortunately woke up with my heart beating like crazy  :-(

Ive been trying for a week now to become conscious again in my dreams but up to now I'm having no success, can anyone help please?

Steve

PS another reoccurring theme is golden glowing fishtanks! I have kept freshwater and marines before, so have an interest in aquatics. :-D
