So here is what happened, i was trying to have lucid dreams, and was listening to a binaural beat when going to sleep, i failed.. but at some time during the night, i woke up feeling really weird, and i could only hear 1 thing.. a deep breathing, that wasnt mine... i tried to change the rhythm of my own breathing to make sure, and i could still hear a deep slow breathing, now, this has happen to me a couple times before and it scares the excrement outa me, it makes me think there is someone else in the room, i look around.. and i see nothing, and when i stop concentrating about it and moving more, it stops...  see, one of my theories.. the least scary on for me, is that when i woke up that night, i might've been close to phasing.. so my senses where not on my physical body but in the astral one, and the physical kept breathing slowly and deep while sleeping, so by getting scared and agitated, i came came back to fully focus 1, and the sound of breathing stopped.

What do you guys think? im i right? or could there be something hanging out in my bedroom at nights? o.O

These are one of the biggest mysteries of relaxed half awake/half asleep processes, where one will experience visual or auditory "hallucinations".

I've seen it interpreted many different ways, but most common is the tell tale signs of heavy breathing, feeling a presence, hearing voices, someone usually trying to mumble or whisper jibberish to you. Perhaps trying to get a message across.

Whatever it is, just remember, sometimes the other worlds try to get our attention in the only way they know they can, because they are eager to make contact, and will do whatever they can on there part to get you to notice them.

Doesn't make it bad, no need to be frightened,  just relax and approach the experience itself openly.
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, none will suffice. ~Joseph Dunninger

I don't think it's anything bad you're experiencing. I've had some of the same experiences, even going so far as seeing my spirit guide. I think the breathing you are hearing could be a number of things, hearing yourself externally or even a waking dream. It's not anything I would be worried about though.

Hope this helps.

In that state, you can experience all kinds of things. Hallucinatory included.  Maybe the breathing was your physical body, and you were detached from it, or it was an illusion of some kind. Or another being, hard to tell.

It reminds me of Robert Monroe describing an experience like that when out of his body. He thought at first he had a man clinging to him. He finally realized it was his body. Except that he could make the body breath according to his own breathing. If he tried to stop, the body would stop, etc. Perhaps there are states where you're even more separated and you couldn't influence your breathing so easily.
Or perhaps it's just a big illusion.

I dunno if this is a being or just hallucinations.. everything is so weird.. Many times i've tried to meet my guide, meditating, in dreams... always failed, it'd be nice if it was him/her, but i dont think thats the best way to approach me since every time it happens i get so scared.. and since spirit guides are not supposed to let me experience stuff i'd be uncomfortable with, it leads me to believe that it wasnt my guide.. ahh man, this all so confusing..  :-(
