Hey, everyone. I don't know if there's a place where I should formally introduce myself before posting. If so I'm sorry.

I'm gonna keep the following terse.
(Enter 'Been trying to project for months with barely any success' story + 'tried all the binaural beats' explanation)
Then, one night at around 2AM, I was really really tired and laid down. No intent of AP, no binaural beats, nothing. The rushing came first and all of a sudden I felt really mentally awake. Rushing got louder. Tried to keep a calm, observational mind. Tried not to think. Kept my eyes closed and it felt like I was rocketing toward the head of my bed crazy fast, but then it slowed down. I was wondering why everything was dying in intensity, and thought to myself...which was a mistake. Abruptly ended the experience and I opened my eyes.
My question is, is that supposed to happen? Does it calm down and THEN you project? I tried to contain my excitement and tried not to think, but still felt the intensity of the rushing and whatnot waning. How do I fix this next time?

alexvill1994,

You need to have patience, give it time, document statistically and enjoy the process. I recently did a Astral Academy conference session and the question always arises "How long will this take?". It can be a few months, six months, year, two years. But you keep trying, being patient, keep studying, research, and statistically document. Think about it this way:

Your training for a marathon - the first day, or second month do you honestly think you'll be able to run that distance? It takes conditioning, mental and physical. Showing up everyday working out! How do I know? is because I am training for my second marathon in October and I have been able to project consistently over the 25 years active. It never stops and ever ending!

So relax, enjoy, and develop that muscle and persistence to try methods, and most importantly - document your results!
Realize there will be failed attempts, but this is through trial and error til you do get it right.

Your own the right path and before you know it, you'll experience OBE consciousness.

Dave

Hello alexvill1994 and Welcome to the Astral Pulse.
I would say you had some kind of inner excitement going on. I don't know of anyone that can say that during their first experience that they weren't rocketed back to their physical reality due to excitement or a fear based scenario. This will get better with practice though.
Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)
