Greetings edguidry, and welcome to these forums!

The NEW excercises affect different people in different ways including from a sensation point of view. Ultimately of course, with dedication, most people will achieve similar beneficial results.

Robert does say that it can take people some time to feel any tangible sensations, and I believe he mentions somewhere that it even took him sometime to feel primary chakra sensations.

If I do NEW on the soles of my feet, it feels like someone is driving a six inch nail straight through my foot! I get widely varying sensations from other energy centres.

You can assume that your NEW excercises are working fine, and just proceed as you are doing without skipping any excercises.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Everybody responds to the exercises in different ways.  I was doing the stirring/brushing exercises every day for a month - never felt a thing, well maybe a little moving warmth but I put that down to my imagining the feeling.  One night I was doing the routine in bed, as usual, when all of a sudden - woosh!  Energy just flooded in, like a tide, straight up my body, scared the Hell out of me!  I lept out of bed and made a cup of tea, trying to figure out what had happened.  I think that every time you do the exercises you train your body to be more and more sensitive, nowadays I am 'alert' to energy movement, I dont want to be taken by surprise again, I kindof know if there is a lot of energy available to me and slow down accordingly.  And then at other times I can 'scrub' away and hardly have any effect.  I still haven't mastered the body circuit yet and 'sponging' has no effect whatsoever.

I just found this forum yesterday, and I have a few questions.
What is 'NEW", and what are some good books I should read to get up to speed on things around here?

Hi, Debbie!

This is NEW:

Hundreds of people will be glad to answer any questions you have. :)

These are all the training guides available on Robert Bruce's web site:

http://www.astralpulse.com/guides/guides.htm

Here are the articles available his site:

Robert Bruce has written two books, Astral Dynamics and Practical Psychic Self Defense. AD contains and expands on much of the information found on the web site. PPSD isn't in stores yet, but it will be soon. I haven't done much reading off the net, so people might want to recommend some authors. Everything up there is excellent. I never felt the need for a book, except for AD.

Ok, I'm really afraid all that is overwhelming. Just read what you want, if anything, and have fun!

Oh, and don't get caught up reading! Don't read, practice! :)

Regards,

Mark

HI Mark,
Thank you sooo much!  What a wealth of information to explore.  I inadvertently found this website last work while I was just goofing off.  I printed off some excellent oobe instructions from Robert Bruce.  What a fabulous person he must be!  I can't wait to check out all these resources.  Thank you very much!

Since I began and posted that first post, I have noticed good results. I can get both of my feet to tingle quite strongly, and move those sensations up my legs, at least up to my knees, sometimes further. I don't follow the method to a "t" and maybe I should, but I think I've grasped a feel for what I should be focusing on and feeling.
The sensations can get quite strong, almost to a point to where it's so strong, it's uncomfortable. I haven't gotten to the point to where I can really do it on a strong level without a good deal of concentration, though. I do believe that is coming, however.

Hiya!
Its nice to know there are newbies out there and I find it amazing just how many poeple have been attracted to this site.

With NEW I find that I can feel a lot of energy in my legs and arms but moving it into my major base centre is alittle more difficult, I find I need to work on my concentration so I can maintain my awarness on where the energy feels weaker, on the 'edges' so to speak.

NEW is the best method Ive found for energy raising. Thankyou Robert!

Reiki does not have to be used only through the hands. Even at the first level, people who do shiatsu and use their elbows on acupressure points with the intent to heal find the energy flows on its own. Some reiki masters go on after activating the hands to activate the eyes and / or the feet. At the master / third level, it is possible to do self-attunements on any place where the NEW seems to be stuck. Even at the second level, the method of using reiki to heal from a distance can be used to activate places that seem stuck.

When I found NEW, it was my reiki that needed to be unstuck. It no longer seemed to be doing anything. When sending reiki to other people, even, I felt nothing. What the NEW taught me to do was to use the memory of how the reiki had felt in the past to recreate the experience in the present. By first focussing on imaging the tactile sensations, I was bringing awareness to various points and transitioning back to working with the energy directly again.

Hello, I'm kind of new to the NEW method, but I've been practicing yoga and reiki for a while, so I think I know at least a little of what I'm dealing with.
This program really caught my eye, it seems to be what I'm looking for.
I just started the program, beginning with the MBA exercises. I can "feel" my knee during the exercise, but I don't feel any tingles yet. At least not like I can, say, in my palms, from reiki.
Should I continue working at this point, or should I maybe go to the next step? I want to make sure I do this right and not get discouraged.
