Finally got out of my body:)

I've been trying for almost two weeks now and had very little progress. I knew it takes awhile to actually do it, at least most of the time. So anyway, I had went to sleep that night as I usually did. I woke up at six in the morning, which normally happens to me but I usually go back to sleep. But this time I decided to try again. So I laid on my back, and closed my eyes. I relaxed everything in my body. I started feeling vibrations and sat there for awhile, wondering what to do. I've tried a lot of exiting techniques but had trouble with them. That's when I remembered that old trick where you pretend that one hand is tied to a helium balloon and the other has a really heavy book and the one hand with the balloon goes up while the other goes down. So I thought 'I could imagine my body being tied to really big balloons'.

I imagined that I had balloon's on my legs, arms, chest and head. I kept imagining them slowly pulling up on my body. That's when I felt my chest and head area slowly rise up. My other parts slowly began to rise up. But being sort of new to this, I panicked. I don't know why exactly, but I did. And soon enough I was back in my body again. It was amazing and hope to be able to do it again.  :-D

I'm going to try your method. I'm trying to OBE for over six months now, without any success, but, congratulations to you for your very good beginning  :-)

Ok, that was good, you are getting to a F12 state or at least a deep F10.

I have found that feeling and the sensation of rising is not actually a path to phasing.
(There are many paths you can take when you are in there)

Try focus less on the experience and more on metaphysical imagery. Remember, being aware of what is going on is not what you want. You want to totally get lost in your imagination without losing consciousness; Not without losing awareness of the physical. You want to lose that.

 Contenteo is spot on here. Visualization is the key to jump starting your adventure. Try to visualize doors, by this I mean, visualize a door in front of you, any size, any shape. Open the door and will yourself through it. Keep doing this with other doors until you finally go through one that has a vivid scenario. Sometime you have to visualize 10 or more doors before you finally hit success. Practice this everyday, every chance you get. In no time at all you will see progress.

A technique I sometimes use to deepen F12 is to simply imagine I am floating along through pleasant countryside. Maybe floating just above a gravelly path, with maybe a little soft grass on the left leading to a fence with trees and maybe rolling fields on the right. I float along the pebbly path and simply observe the beautiful scenery as I float along. After a short time, these vague images become clearer and clearer and then suddenly I find myself actually IN the scenery. From there I reinforce the imagery by floating along and observing all the scenery as it changes in front of me.

What works best for me is any scenario which induces the sense of "movement".
That really shoots me into a deep Focus 12.  :)

That first OBE is quite special. Keep at it and there will be many more ahead. After the first few times it usually is easier to get out and stay out of the body so the duration of your OBEs should increase.
