Do any of you feel pain in your dreams? Physical like pain?

I have had a few of these dreams. In a few dreams I have been shot and could actually feel the bullets riddle my body. (It was most likely not as excruciating as really getting shot) but it didn't feel good. I could feel a bullet stuck in my neck once too after being shot. I seem to get shot at a lot in my dreams?

I remember when I was a kid there was a dream I had where a lady was sticking some tube up my nose. Similar to a procedure I had as a kid to check my stomach acid levels. (Worst pain I have felt in my life) The nurse forgot to numb the thing that went in my nose and down my throat. In the dream though, the lady resembled this kids mom I knew. It did not feel good. It was really painful. It actually felt like physical pain but it was a dream.

I also had an OBE once where I got close to my body and then realized it didn't look like my body, and I was in some house. I jumped at the body figuring it may have been me and then started coughing. This hurt extremely bad. I could kind of then tune into my physical body and I jolted in my bed and started coughing. It felt like I was choking kinda. My heart was racing. I was happy I had an OBE though. From that experience I learned if I wish to return to my body I just think of my physical body.

I could give many other examples of dreams that I have had where I felt pain. Not a pleasant thing to experience that is forsure. I find a lot of my dreams are also extremely violent. People getting shot, and being shot at. (people I know) I once had a dream way back where I was ripped in half by this gigantic demon looking thing with horns. I saw my ribs go flying everywhere and I woke up immediately. If I remember right I woke up I was in sleep paralysis and saw a bunch of crosses on my wall as I was convulsing. I am not a religious person so I did not understand this. I was going through horrible depression at the time of this.

Another dream I had a while back was very interesting. I picked up a picture. In that picture I could see me walking around in a forest like area. I saw a figure way off in the distance and focused my attention on that. All of a sudden a face popped up and screamed at me. This scared the living dog c*** out of me.  :|

One more example was I was walking by my house in a similar area I know. There were police cars everywhere. People laying on the ground moaning in pain. I was walking around trying to figure out what was going on. I walked off and noticed a lady following me. I didn't think much of it. I turned around and she was closer. Again, continued walking... turned around again and she was right in my face and made a growling sound and took a swing at me. I ducked and then jolted up in my bed breathing extremely hard.

What causes these dreams? What causes pain in dreams? I also notice in some of my OBE's when I am breathing in my astral body..(I think it was my physical but I was in my astral body?) I could not breathe through my nose and it was very uncomfortable.

The feeling pain in my dreams have kind of subsided over the last year since becoming very spiritual. I am not sure why I have violent dreams. I dream every night. Very vividly. It gets old sometimes. A lot of times I wish I could just get a really good nights sleep with no goofy dreams. That is not the case for me. I am a very friendly person, I love to help people, like to make people laugh and smile a lot. But when I go into dream land it's like a battlefield for me. I am desperately trying to seek help on this.  :?

Can anybody give me a few suggestions on what could be happening? Or any tips to help aid this problem I am having?

Thank you all so much.
Safe Travels.

Hey Szaxx.

Thanks for the link! I have fallen asleep like this a few times. Mostly though I fall asleep on my side. Interesting stuff though forsure... I wonder if what I eat has anything to do with it.

Sometimes I feel pain in my dreams. And I have gone through this link and it is very beneficial for me. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi,
Eating things is supposed to have some effect but the foods containing doses of hallucinogenic compounds seem on top of the list. Cheese I think is an old wives tale. There's been two general comments on here regarding the amount of sugar we eat. One saying drop the levels for better success, the other, eat tons of it as it powers the brain. They are both true when set against the practioners particular body and lifestyle.
I never got the results I expected on that thread, 50+% successful when I found volunteers trying within the first month (friends etc).
Its all about combating your fears by taking you through them directly, using dream re-entry to correct the mistakes made and teach you to manipulate the surroundings. Once achieved the astral is much more a playground for further development. Things are more afraid of you then as you don't show any fear only confidence. 'No pain no gain' -ish...
