Did I open my third eye, or.....?

First off, please no rude answers or skeptics. Keep your opinions to yourself.

So I've been working on opening my third eye lately, and yesterday I practiced for the 3rd time. Within 2 to 5 minutes I already started to see colors, and even started getting close to astral projection but I stopped because I got scared. But now, when I close my eyes, I can see very little purple, and if I focus more and visualize breathing in energy, I started to see yellowish green colors and indigo. So I'm guessing I opened my eye, but I haven't noticed anything else. No buzzing on my eye, no clairvoyance or visions, remote viewing, or spirits yet. Why Is this? I'm also working on my other chakras, but I'm kind of curious about what's going on with this one. Any ideas? Thanks

 It sounds like you are accomplishing your goals. Great job. Once you start to learn to control your 3rd eye you will see it opens up a completely new outlook on life. You will start to just "know" things and see events before they occur. You may even experience being able to see auras or energy fields around things. But in order to progress you need to constantly work on advancing this new "gift". I call it a gift, because that is what it is, everyone has it, only a few of us will truly learn to use it. Other people's realities are based solely on the Physical and they will not allow themselves to think outside the box or what I call their "safe zone".

But joking aside, sounds like you are opening that sensitivity and starting to see the energy. Thats how mine started, with things similar to what you are describing. Now I see clairvoyantly objectively. Exciting times, Just the beginning..keep it up

                     I think we are in the same boat. Previously i used to meditate on emptiness and had lots of direct visions there , Now i have started a new mantra . And i too get to see colors. first it was red , then yellow, now i get a frequent combination of green sometimes, violet sometimes blue sometimes. But its mostly  violet . I guess the answers apply to me too, interesting

 When I first started doing research in this new Wider Reality I was experiencing I started practicing a technique known as Throat Breathing. It is where you are doing a meditation but concentrating on your Throat. You are breathing hard, making a kind of hoarse sound with your throat. After about 5 minutes of this alone, you start to link this up with your 3rd Eye. Then after 5 minutes of this, you link your Throat Breathing and 3rd Eye focus up with you hands, creating a kind of Pyramid. This technique yielded incredible visions of colors for me, especially the color purple. The goal once you saw this color was to mentally enter into it. By this time your entire focus was gone from your physical body. The purple cloud started off as just a wisp of white mist, then it turned purple and grew until finally it was spiralling in front of my eyes. It did cause a strong sensation of Vertigo though, so I had to practice quite a bit getting to this level before I could finally enter the spiralling vortex. I was just looking back at my books when I began down this path last year and found this technique there. I haven't tried it for a long time, I think I will today though. The color purple/violet has always stood for spirit and mysticism. It also stands for Chaos and is seen as the color of your Crown Chakra.

That's interesting because all I see is purple, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

no you did nothing wrong, in fact you are doing it right. people see lots of colors at different times, all it means is that chakra is having energy corrections, Different people stabilize in different colors, depending on their nature,

If you stabilize at purple its good because its a chakra of a higher level , its the spiritual level and it will bring about clairvoyance, and increase your spiritual vibrations faster

You cant control what you see, Your body and its past karmic energies will center you on the appropriate chakra,

Just keep doing what you are doing, and you are doing it right

My third eye has been open for couple of months. I always see the clouds of swirling purple but for the last several weeks I see evil faces staring at me. They get bigger and so close to my face I go crosseyed focusing on them. They are some otherworldly beings definitely not human but some have human looking facial features. Its been going on so long I stopped being afraid and now everytime I close my eyes I'm just used to seeing them staringat me with those evil eyes. Then 5 minutes ago I read on the Internet that "involuntary clairvoyance" where you have no control over the info being received can be dangerous because there is a risk of possession by dis-carnate beings. I went from being scared of them to being angry at them to becoming intrigued by them. Now I read this and I'm wondering am I in any danger? Or am I just seeing negative spirits of some kind of other species?

I'm like that...during deep meditation (or at times, looking at my PC screen) I see a little purple, like a purple blob. Then sometimes, I feel a deep pressure between my eyebrows...

The only frustrating thing for me, is that this has happened for most of the time in the last 2-3 years, yet my physic abilities havn't improved (although I do have some spiritual insights..)

The colour purple/violet is also our growing awarness of God, or are own spiritaul self if you like, look at it long enough and it will turn into a star in a gold ring with a blue purple back ground 

Then you are really on your way

i only see specs of white light and sometimes different colors swirling around i go into them. or sometimes i will see just flashes of random immages or a short like vision. like last night i saw some Egyptians pointing to and going over some writings on a wall it was like i was an orb their then i was back into my head. any body get things like this?
