Just woke up from a nap. Is it a dream or did I separate? Today I struggled a bit but got out of my body, but without vision. I regained vision and was in my parents place from the '80's. I was so happy, I hugged my mother though she, at first couldn't see me. Somehow, eventually, I "woke up" and told my mother I had left my body. She didn't seem care too much.
A previous time, I started feeling vibrations laying in bed and started to get excited. I reminded myself not to get too excited and left my body only to realise, again, that I was in my parents old condo. Everything that has happened me that could be called "paranormal" has happened in that house.

If you were aware that you were experiencing a reality which wasn't this physical reality,  then yes it was a projection.

So many people post on here "Did I project, Was this a lucid dream?" and ALL of them answer their own question within their post. lol

I may have been misleading. I'm more curious about why these episodes occur in the home of my teens and not really anywhere else.

Yeah... sorry Thread Killer... it was the only sentence with a question mark. We probably thought you were making a statement about your location.

So when you separate you are in your parents old condo from the 80's?

Maybe this is where your unconscious nonphysical resides... maybe this is a safe zone... somewhere from your childhood.

It is very common for dreams to take place in an old school or childhood home.

I don't know anything about the house being paranormal because it is more likely that paranormal things happen to people... not places.

Xanth

Yes, I'd agree with the safe zone thing.  :)

Contenteo

It was a F21 experience. You were hanging out in your own mental model of your own apartment.

Your level of control would denote whether it was technically a dream or projection. Its confusing because as you become more aware of your dreams they become more and more vivid, just like projections.

Regardless, it sounds like it was a cool experience.

Thanks to all. The apartment was the scene for so much that informs my worldview now. In that apartment, my sister was taken, by our dead brother, back to the scene of his death, which she witnessed as a five year old. This same brother would appear in front of my mother, walking down the stairs, that I was injured but ok. There was a period of a week where the image of a woman with a large pendant on a chain appeared in an antique mirror. (hundreds of photos taken, of which I have none.) The chain would appear straight when my six month old niece was under the mirror in a chair. When an adult sat in the chair, the chain would become twisted. Weird, wild stuff to be sure!

Am the only one then who has lucid/astral experiences... yet, from time to time doesn't have fully control to 'change' things?  O_o

From what I read of some of the experiences posted around here, everyone seems to have fully control over every single tiny aspect of their experiences right down to making the environment do back flips upon command or something.  LoL

Bedeekin

You obviously aren't doing it right Xanth!!

I've never had full control. There are times when I have called for a drastic change in environment and it has worked... But I haven't consciously built the environment... that seems to be out of my cognisant control.

I can manifest things.. but not necessarily like I was a magician. I semi construct environments but they are fleeting and not stable.

You are not alone.

I don't think anyone gains full control. I find that if I don't like what's going on I can change it by creating a door, but I don't know what's on the other side of that door either, I just hope it's something better than the initial scenario was, lol. I have had a couple of times when I could change the environment and that in turn led to a change in the overall scenario. But this is what I like so much about Phasing or taking over a Lucid Dream and not having total control like you do in the RTZ. It's always fascinating when you allow your "trust in the multiverse" itself, to be your pilot!  :-)

Hi,
I started changing scenery before I was 10. It progresses and eventually the scenario that appears can be manipulated with ease as has already been said.
The concept of total control can be attained in two ways.

One starts in deep meditation. A quiet mind is required and that spacious ( inside of a large cavern) feel needs to be present, F21?. A created visualisation can be formed from this state, entered and the rest is your desires. Cities in the sky, massive forests with a lake of yellow glowing waters are easy. Also a rundown post apocalyptic country complete with mutants all hell bent on tearing the life force from you are easily construed. Fun too.

We all have this capability and some develop it before their mind is ready to understand the concept. This IS a cause of nightmares as the imagination runs wild with fear. Combined with thought=action in this state you are in for one hell of a ride. It took years to understand that total control required a quiet mind and the knowledge of thought=creation was responsible for so much 'nocturnal discomfort'.

Gaining control from within a dream comes natural with an anchor or memorised event but it rarely occurs with the physical mindset of creation we have each day. Its quite natural to be unclothed in a dream and this abnormality re physical life is why its normal to only change that part of the dream DIRECTLY AFFECTING YOU. It never enters the dream mind that total control is achievable. Its a wakeup call for this thats required and that can cause the dream to obliterate into physical wakefulness. After gaining  awareness to take total control and actually waking up the comments you say to yourself are 'unsavory' to type... Its the EXACT action performed from a gruesome nightmare forced exit. Dont go too far on waking just enough for awareness without losing the dream scene. A task of many attempts with many fails too. Make yourself aware you have this creativity at your disposal and  catch the train to an experience of the gods.

The nightmare thread I started a year ago would have progressed into this knowledge.
Alas, twas not to be, the tried treadings faired unwell, paced in the darkness of minds of others, the demons take.

I think it's actually pretty simple... not all reality frames you experience support direct, complete control over it.  That makes the most sense to me.

Szaxx

Hi,
Thats a valid comment.
During class 1 clairvoyant dreams you get upto a point. After which you have absolutely no control including forced waking. Until the event unfolds there's nothing in your control whatsoever. You can view the local environment but only within a short distance. This being 'provided' by whatever is mastering the scenario.
Are these dreams? I know not. They sure are scarey!
Another place with no control I've had is that place of pure white light. Again my guide took me to this locale, I had no control but was very young.
Others NPR's where a task was set the amount of control was phenomenal. I wasn't permitted direct action on the inhabitants other than removal of the negatives. Tricky but fun.
Generally basic control is all thats necessary and changing this to total doesn't normally come to mind. Unless that is, you've forced a nightmare with this in mind.
An ear piercing and shrill cry of psychotic laughter, applies.

Is this thread headed to Cuba? Because I'm getting a slight twinge that this post has been hijacked. Mojitoes, anyone?!

First, answer me this... "what EXACTLY is a dream?"

I'm going to be asking that question to everyone who posts the "is it a dream or a projection" question.  :)

The point being... we humans don't have the foggiest idea what a dream actually is.

With that said... and to more directly answer your question... if you were aware that you were non-physical then it was a projection.  It's really simple.  :)
So, were you aware that you were in the non-physical?

Szaxx

Hi,
Sorry for not understanding what you wished answered (mojitoes?).
A dream or astral trip?
Id say you've described an RTZ quite clearly, being unable to see immediately upon exit. This happens quite often and is in many reports going back over 100 years.
The wierd happenings in the house of your teenage years  may not follow  you. Around this age these sort of activities are reported more, especially if emotional upset is prevalent.
As you've aged and become developed these happenings slow or stop.

As F21 experiences , IMO, happen in your own mental models, they are fairly easy to figure out what you are feeling at the moment or decode them.
