For many, Valeria Lukyanova -- the Ukrainian girl with the tiny waist and doll-like eyes referred to as a "Human Barbie" -- was merely an online phenom dreamed up by a crafty animation artist. But V Magazine took on a task to bring the "Living Doll," as she is sometimes dubbed, to New York City for a photo shoot where 21-year-old Lukyanova opened up about her life.

But so far, with the exception of her appearance, Lukyanova has been a mystery. Even her appearance at times has been mystifying, though the girl who calls herself "Amatue," which means goddess of the sun, has given makeup tutorials on how to obtain her out-of-worldly look.

So what's a day like for this real life Barbie doll who hails from Tiraspol, Ukraine?

"In the morning I work on my face and I get a massage, then I spend some time on the Internet," Lukyanova told V magazine. "I meditate and travel in my astral body, and after that I work out at the gym. I go for a walk with my best girlfriend, I get home, and I make dinner for the man I love. Then I spend some more time on the Internet, do some reading and meditating, and go to bed."

As V Magazine explains, Lukyanova had been posting videos since November last year but became an Internet sensation when Jezebel discovered YouTube channel in April. But one thing she forgot to mention in her daily routine is dealing with loads of criticism on the Internet. Thankfully, Lukyanova said she doesn't let haters get her down.

"I know the other side of celebrity is negativity, but I see it in a positive light. If people care about me, then I am on the right path," she said. "I'm happy I seem unreal to them, it means I'm doing a good job. It's hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement. "

V Magazine also learned the Security Service of Ukraine monitors Lukyanova's activities, according to the source, that linked up the magazine with the real-life Barbie.

"Be careful," the source said. "We're worried for you, and do not want you to suffer from her."

Perhaps it's because Lukyanova also spends her spare time as an "astral projection" teacher at the School of Out-of-Body-Travel, which she explained is a school to teach oneself how to go on a spiritual journey.

"It's an international school in which our instructors show students how to leave their physical body and travel in their spiritual body, where you can visit any place on the planet and in the universe," she said. "I know that this is the future of mankind and that it has huge potential."

In addition to her job as a living doll and teacher of spiritual journey, Lukyanova is also an aspiring musician in "new age opera," which she writes during her out of body experiences.

She's also a professional mountain climber.

And she's aware she helped start a living doll movement, with other key players like Dakota Rose and her own friend, Anastasiya Shpagnia.

"Indeed, I've noticed a trend," she said. "Every good-looking woman with fine features and a slim figure looks like a doll. I won't deny that I play along with people's perceptions. I'm amused by the reactions. I don't take it seriously."

That's a relief. But how do you know that picture isn't from before the 'surgery'? lol just kidding, now that you mention it, it does look like photoshop or something, especially those big swirly breasts.

I watched a couple of YouTube vids the before and after.
I was on my phone without my glasses.
She looked good either way. Not too sure on the stomach though, one sniff at a stick of celery and she' :-Dd be done.
