Alarm clock method worked!

Hey guys!Last night i tried the alarm clock method and it worked!I woke up 7 minutes Efrem the alarm set for 4 am,turned it off and waited for it.I was literally drowned in OBES-3 or more in one of them I was out of my body but still paralysed,I fought it but I wast able to move much,and then another one in which I was in my grandparents room and tried to get their attention- I managed to get my grandmas,and I told her - Do you realize we are  dreaming?I don't remember her answer but to prove her I pushed my hand against the window and the glass melted like always.Then I took a glass(for water) and I formed the molted  glass into a sphere,left it on the table and watched as it slowly restored it' original shape!I don't count it for total success,as most of the short ob es were scary and dreamlike,but still it is my first Conscious Obie!

Congratz,
Alarm clock method has always been the best option for me, being pretty inexperienced with it all.
I made custom Alarms on Logic Pro a while back that I don't have to turn off, they last about 5 seconds
and then go off. ACM and WBTB FTW IMO  :lol:

Congrats for your first success. I have heard about that method but never tried it. Now, I think I should try this method.

I have found that after all these years, that sometimes when I get in a more serious mindset, it becomes harder for me to have an OOBE before I get some sleep. That's why I'm reading these posts right now at 3 ish am. When I go back to bed, it will happen with very little effort.

I've got a questions though - is it sufficient just to wake up turn of the alarm and try to doze off again or I must get up and  move a bit?Cuz I am unable to replicate the results although i am always waking up some 10 minutes before the  4 am alarm

Simo- You have to balance this approach. You need to clear some of the sleep fog but not wake yourself up to the point that it's hard to fall back asleep. To reach that Goldilocks state, Using the restroom or getting a drink of water is enough for me. But I try not to turn on lights or anything that stimulates my senses too much.

Seriously, the easiest way to have an OOBE is in this state. This is also the best time to use the "noticing" method. An OOBE usually happens within 2-3 minutes for me when I just notice the blackness in this state. If successful, an OOBE from this method is excellent. You will be locked in and it is harder to unintentionally ruin the phase. In other words, so long as you don't panic and open your physical eyes or move, reasonable fear and excitement won't break the "spell". These OOBE's are the most undeniable because once your consciousness is locked in, you phase the whole time with no break in awareness.

But understand that once the phase is complete, your body will be asleep and if you don't wake yourself up instantly, your mind will follow and usually go down in the books as just another lucid dream. That's how it works for me

oooh, great question Simo, I'm also wondering the same thing.

Since I've started staying in bed when I wake up for WBTB I've not been getting results. So far it seems getting up and being active
is important. But what else can we do to get the best out of our Wake back to bed stuff?
I've heard people say not to eat and get some sun if its out when you get up but most of the time these outside factors
don't have as much bearing on OBEs as some people 'think'.

I also keep sleeping through alarms so I'm gona pump up the damn volume tonight, I'm such a lazy invalid  :-P
