Hello! My name is Taylor. I am a 15 year old male hoping to ap. I thought of using binaury (Atleast i thinks thats what its called) beats. It was a deep sleep one. About 3:09 minutes into it my face started to twitch and i could of swore i heard banging sounds...Like boots banging on wood. Was i near a AP and got scared and quit too early?...Please help me on this if you can?..i know i'm a kid and a newbie but it would be REALLY helpful if i could get some advice on the situation. And should i get a good nights sleep before ap? Thanks-Taylor F.

Welcome to the forum .  You may of reached an altered state of consciouss , but it does not sound like you left your body. Read some of the posts hear and on other sites , forums and in books on a.p. on an actual out of body experence . Of couse ever one interepts events to there own belief system .      Robert Monroe, DickSutphen , W. Bulhman and many many others have wrote books on a.p.  , have web sites , and you tube videos .  desert rat

Thanks you, I am actually going to see if i can try again but this time by meditation i heard its helps tremendously with relaxing you're whole body to help go to ap..Results will be posted.

You're thinking of binaural beats. They also have monaura beats and something called isochronic tones. All are different and produce different effects. I'd research them, some.

Usually, twitching and a rocking motion are very common when close to AP. Hallucinations or hearing voices are also common when near AP.

You were definitely close to a trance state (seeing as your body was bobbing back and forth) and the sounds are also an indication that you are close.

Try again, and this time, let yourself fall into that sensation. Let your body fall asleep and become numb and weightless. It will rock back and forth. You may start to hear things. Ignore it all.

You might as well be prepared for sleep paralysis. SP will come with hallucinations, sometimes. Ignore everything. Mind over matter, remember that. If you find yourself in SP, simply try to roll over or get up. Try to wiggle your toes or fingers.

One of the best ways to astral project is to literally put your body to sleep but keeping your mind awake. Once you get past the weird vibrations and the fear, you will get there eventually. Hope this helped.

Hello knknt and welcome to the Pulse.
Binaural beats (and Monroe Hemisync CDS and the brainwave generator) can produce dramatic shifts in consciousness. Nothing to be too concerned about (though it can be a bit disconcerting to a person who has not had the experience before). Actually (for me anyway) binaural beats does not lead directly to an OBE. Rather it sets uprthe right state of mind later on, usually during sleep. So stay with it as you might well get out of body one night, maybe when you least expect it.

Good luck  :-)

Welcome! Sometimes people start to hear loud noises when getting close. Don't let them scare you or if you hear/see something odd. Just relax and see what happens. :D You're completely safe.

Hello, Taylor. We are always close to APing. During your experience, you were just a little closer than normal. The sounds and sensations are a good indication of that. Eye and Facial twitches used to be the last little hurdle I had to get past in order to phase.

Fear is natural when we explore the unknown. Please do your self a favor and don't read any crap that talks about bad spirits following you and such. "Ain't gonna happen, homeboy.", like I've been told concerning other aspects of living.

This type of info is everywhere on the web and there is a convenient button next to the message that will link you to a store that sells candles and incense to ward off these negative entities.
