My first phasing experience!

I recently read about the phasing method... after three nights of trying, I was quite impress to see how well it works! I drifted off to sleep, while remaining focused inside, then at some point, I noticed a sort of numbing feeling which got stronger and stronger as I remained still. It sort of clicked in... and now I have done it two nights in a row, each time I then saw a map, like it was a video game. Then I was took into the game. The first simulation was called "Dino Land"... I saw dinosaurs and flied around, but it was nothing too real. The other game was a Role Playing Game, an old style of 3D. Now, I figured I was merely in what Xanth calls lucid awareness in his e-book... I will try asking myself the questions "why I am here? How I came here? etc." next time. In any case, this method is very cool, the numbing feeling of phasing out... it's quite different from the vibrations, I actually loved the feeling! I know it's nothing too great, but just thought I would share... to any beginners like me, I really recommend phasing! Much thank to Xanth and his blog where I read about this!

EDIT: This is a little off-topic but the same night I first phased, I was took into a frightening trip flying upwards... then at some point I came out and I saw a very real scene with an alien. He was humanoid and had a similar physical charateristic as me. It's sort of a rare thing, but I will keep it private. Anyway, what he said was just weird... he asked if my brain was light enough and if I was enjoying the experience so far. I'm left thinking I may have came from somewhere else. I really don't know, that sure was weird!

When I meditate I have these experiences too. Really weird imagery that doesn't make sense. Most of the time its either visuals of people or random close ups of objects like crayons or flowers. Haha.
What I'm trying to say is, it sounds like you are making progress! Which is awesome. Enjoy the ride!

Sounds like an amazing time!

When you asked the questions, were they answered?  Also when you asked the questions did you simply ask or did all of you want to be answered?  If they weren't answered next time instead of just asking a question, really want an answer which I find increases the chance of being answered.

Happy travels!

Well, I didn't ask any questions... they are questions I am going to ask myself next time so I can get myself out of playing those games. Apparently, it's supposed to bring out a more profound awareness... because now I got stuck with playing those games without thinking further! Lately, I was dreaming of a cartoon, and upon wondering if I could acquire lucidity and become a character within the animation... well I zoomed out of a television screen in some basement, being in the "astral". I am hoping it will have similar results.

Neat experience!  When I meditate I usually go OOB but if I just hold still (not try to leave my body) and keep looking into the void noticing the lights, patterns and such, I'll start to have a lucid experience.--like a crystal clear dream only I'm awake.  Am I phasing??

The only real difference between the two experiences is that in the OOBE I ALWAYS fly.  In the phasing (??) experience I have never flown.  Is this the same for everyone?  I'm sure the answer will be "no" but am curious how people will answer!

I'll give you a helpful hint here. Learn to be a good observer and your questions will be answered before you even ask them!

Congratulations for your first amazing experience. It seems you enjoyed it. Keep it up.

Well, I am by no way an expert, but phasing seems to be the most basic natural way to go OBE, what you describe seems to fit. It's about noticing what's going on eye closed, having all your attention on your visual field and what's happening there... if you can do that from meditation, that's amazing! I think one know when he phases, there's that numbing feeling that grows and grows stronger then... click! Well that is in my experience. If you wanna know more about phasing, that's where I learned about it: http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2011/02/28/my-phasing-primer-pdf/

Lionheart, I guess being a good observer is what those questions seems to point out to... I will become a master observer from now on lol  :-D

Zagadka, Thanks for the link.  I read it and yes I definitely am phasing.  Good to know!  Why do you say that it is amazing to do it while meditating?  How do most people do it?  When I say meditation, for me that just means I just lie down and let my mind go blank. --well, mostly blank.  I usually have the chorus of a song playing over and over in my mind.  Then SP usually hits me pretty quickly and then I can either have a classic obe or phase.  I mostly choose the classic obe because I can get out faster that way and thus not have to deal with the full amount of SP hallucinations.  I'm still working at overcoming fear of those.

Oh, sorry.  I read your original post again and just answered my own question.  Instead of through meditation you actually fell asleep first.  I think it's amazing that people can do it that way.  If I sleep before and after OBEs I usually don't remember a thing!

Yes, you are Phasing. I have never found the urge to really go to the RTZ while attempting to AP.

There are so many more incredible places to visit!  :-)

I usually start at my tranquil beach scenario and see if something might be "out of place". There nomally is and that's what sets off an my next adventure.

It's amazing because you are already fully conscious of what is occurring.

It's quite a bit different then awaking in a Lucid Dream and trying to get your bearings.

You are already fully aware of what is happening and you have created an intended destination already to boot.

Win-Win!  :-D

This description applies to many of my experiences because the more that it feels physically real, the more I limit myself to physical laws. But, understand that this is only self imposed and flying is just as easy. Thinking is what makes it so. Cliche because it's true!
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

Lionheart, yes! It is great to be able to project fully conscious. I have always been a rather "blank minded" person so it comes naturally for me to do it that way. LOL!  My husband and daughter often say things to me like "mama....come back to our world!"

its all bad,  That's so true!  I never thought of it until you said it but some of my more low grade projections (cuz I'm groggy) are more wild and crazy because I am thinking, "It's just a dream --I can do anything!"

Zagadka

Yes it's pretty amazing to have a natural gift to project from meditation, to remain awake from A to Z. This is one of my goal, but I'm taking it easy for now, step by step. I would also like to be took to my settings of choice (like your beach Lion), but it seems a little harder to come up and hold on to the scenario, but I will check this out in not so long. I just recently figured I have a new dream and it is to master projection. I used to be a drugs addict... not so long ago, someone came in my dream and told me "You were a stoner, now you are a projector!"  :-D

Lionheart

That isn't a natural gift my friend!  :-)

This has all come from Patience, Practice and Perseverance!

The only natural part of it is my will to succeed.

soarin12

Congratulations on beating your addiction!  That's great news!!  Many have said and I agree that if your highest goal is to grow as a person, then you will get much further with your goal to be a great projector.  Take everything you learn in the non-physical and use it for the good of others (and, ofcourse, for the good of yourself!)  OBEs have a way of expanding the mind and heart. --especially if we are open to that and ask for it!

I know that patience, practice and perseverance are fruitful. But we were all born with specific talents or aptitudes. For some it's music, others sports or intellectual activities or arts... and for some it is projection. Of course, if we don't have the aptitudes, the 3 P are the way to go to develop competences. Yesterday I received a boxing training at a local gym. I got to think that succesfull boxers all follow a sort of similar training in which they involve themselves fully... their training is different from a cyclist, a jogger, an halterophile. That got me wondering what kind of training a projector should invest himself into... apart from meditation, holding a dream journal, making intentions, reading about projection... how to be successful? Obviously I need to project as much as possible, this is the practice itself, but I can't practice as much as I want... I manage to project 3-5 times a week but it's often too short... I suppose I will keep up with the 3P because I sure am making progress for something I started to do last summer... I played hockey when I was younger and I sure didn't became an NHL hockeyer in half a year!
