Is there some astral projection for dummies, that tells me what to do step by step?
There is lots of info, which is great but it's not so concrete.

A guide like this would be great:
All the things you can do to improve your chances, (dream diary, reality checks, meditation etc.)
Every technique that you should use for x time before you go to the next technique.

Or if you could recommend a good book which has 'all' the info I need to start projecting that would be cool too. But the step for step guide could also serve as a sticky.

Yes, it's this entire site here.

Have a look and see!  :-)

You get out this practice only what you put into it!

Ok this is what I do now:
Reality checks often
I sleep in everyday
I keep a dream diary
I meditate daily
I put my alarm 4 hours after I go to sleep, to then stay awake for 1 hour, then go back to sleep and hope for astral projection (only did this twice, planning on doing it every night)

I have been meditating for 8 months, and the rest only for a week. I had one succesful AP that lasted 5 seconds with the '4+1 method'.

I guess I could do affirmations(?) also, do you have any good ones that I can try?

I am looking for the best way to get into sleep paralysis, because that's the best way to AP right?

The one thing I like about finding these answers myself is there is so much other great information pertaining to this topic that you can find that you haven't even yet questioned.

Every "stickie" here has valuable information pertaining to AP and techniques to achieve it. Here's a good one:

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/the_steps_to_success_in_your_first_projections-t33998.0.html

There is also a stickie that is dedicated solely to Sleep Paralysis found here:

What is your usual meditation routine like and what kind of results are you going for... and what kind of results do you usually achieve in a normal meditation session?

I guess Robert Bruce book  mastering astral project is an actually step by step guide.

although it never worked for me.   concious  AP  - is it really that hard?

That's not exactly a "step by step" then...
A step by step, should, by it's definition of providing each step, work with everyone.  This is the problem with learning Projection... you'll never find something that works for everyone and there really aren't any step by steps to do it.

You kind of have to fumble your way through it... learning what works best for you and what doesn't. And honestly?  You'll find much more that doesn't work for you than will.  LOL

But then, that's half the fun!  :)

Yes, this 100% true.

There are many different techniques out there, but only a few that will personally work for you.

Bedeekin's nap in the afternoon, Sleep Paralysis at night, is one of the best I have seen. Many people have reported success with this.

I say experiment. Find what works for you. You just might create an entirely new technique that might help others as well.

I can AP from a meditative state. I enjoy a Binaural Beat accompaniment. I also like using various gadgets and tools, but I'm an explorer.

Soon I am going to take all this knowledge I have gotten from experimenting and do some free seminars at our local New Age Store.

I have enough different techniques to at least give people a "sneak peek" at what they will experience once they take decide to practice and have the patience and perseverance that is needed to succeed.

p.s. Erin has some blogs on a.p. http://www.erinpavlina.com/
I had a quick look at the site and I saw that she is charging $3000 for a course/class.  It does not say how long the class is for that I could see.  I would advise to keep away from people like this.   She sounds like a scam.  There are other ways to get information which I think would be just as good as hers for a lot less money.

I read some of her, I think it's good but holy excrement, that's disgusting imo.

I knew that Erin did charge for some of her services , I did not know her classes were $3000 . I dont know her personaly , but did talk with her on the now closed Pavlina forum .      There are many you tube videos that can be watched for free http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bulhman+     This site and others have free pdf files for down load . Books and self hypnosis cds/dvds can be bought from new age book stores for around $5-$30
p.s. I dont know if Erin's class is a few hours or is for a few months and you get a degree/cert.
Dr John Rodgers has/had a new age ministers class , I dont know the price , he runs this site http://www.aznewage.com/index%202.htm

I surely hope that people don't buy in to that nonsense Suzy. Why pay someone for answers they say you are supposed to have when you could acquire (probably better renditions of) them for free?

It astounds me to see that such a site would even claim such to the point of attempting to make a business out of it, some gall they have.
