Some Stuff In My Mouth..

Hello Nay
I think it's just the connection between our physical body and consciousness. What the body fills or experiences while we are asleep is interpreted into our dreams. I would in my dream hear a loud noise and think it to be part of the dream but in the physical it was my alarm clock. but hey there are other explanations and I'd like to see them []

Yeah, I think you could be right, but what is weird, I would physically dig it out of my mouth..I would "scoop" it out with my index finger, fling it off, scoop more, fling it off..WEIRD..Probably nothing, just very curious thing..LOL

Hey Nay, I can relate to what you are experiencing, I have the same thing happen to me sometimes. I'm in the dream and then there's this rubbery thing in my mouth and I try to pull it off but there's plenty of it and I get scared I would end up hurting myself by pulling my tongue out hehe.
I've come to the same conclusion, I was really thirsty when I woke up. Maybe we should drink more water during the day and before going to bed. It helps.

Whewww..Thank-you ATS...I was beginning to think I was the only one who had this problem..I haven't had the problem for a while, but I drink lots of water now.! Rubbery is a great description! that is how it felt...really weird.

I've had that happen to me too! I was thinking I was choking on ectoplasm![] I never actually see it, just feel it while I'm in the hypnogogic or hypnopompic state.

I would personally set up a laser grid defense system in my room. Someone or something could be putting unmentionable substances in your mouth. Some people move their mouths while dreaming, so I suggest you tie your girlfriend/boyfriend DOWN before going to sleep LOL.

Just kidding. Never had many lucid dreams meself. I'm still in the dream recall state.

This hasn't happened for over a year now, but I have been thinking about it lately.
Several times while dreaming lucid/vivid (still not sure of the difference, so I will say both) There would be this build up of a substance, kinda like gum but more sticky...It would get so bad that I would actually start digging it out of my mouth,while in the dream.
I would get it out, then a few minutes later it would come back. finally I would just get frustrated and wake up. My mouth if I remember correctly, would be pretty dry after waking.

Anyone have a clue has to what it was?
