Do we - people, reincarnate in insects and animals? For example if I am reincarnated as human but after death, can I be reincarnated in insect? Or this is evolution so if I reincarnate as human, I cannot reincarnate in lesser forms of life, like cell, insect and animal and can only reincarnate in something bigger than human like alien? Or human is the last stage of reincarnation in this world so my consciousness transcends to higher density?

Another thing is question about handicapped people - people unable to speak, move etc. But first, when does consciousness settles in body as child is born? Is it at the age of 3 or more? If baby is born handicapped, unable to talk, interpret, think, does consciousness know this before it settles in body? Do handicapped people have consciousness or they are people without consciousness? Actually this kind of brings me to another question: what if handicapped people are handicapped as a result of not having consciousness? What if they are just living organisms without consciousness?

I believe we are forever consciousness.

We enter the body that we have chosen and begin our lives.

A vessel is a vessel, whether it is in the form of a dog, bird, ant etc.

Yes handicapped people have consciousness, they have just chosen to incarnate into a "broken vessel" for some reason or another.

Remember life is all about experiencing.

Living in a Handicapped form would help you learn about life from a completely different direction.

A total Paraplegic would likely learn about life by "watching" others and observing life in general. By seeing the way that people helped and reacted to them.

They could still see everything, it's just their ability to interact physically would be impeded.

A good book to read in regards to children and possible past lives is "Children's Past Lives: How Past Life Memories Affect Your Child" by Carol Bowman.

Two good (and free) pdf resources on children past lives:

Lol... why are "aliens bigger than human"? Are you impatient to get the good stuff... want to try out the super deluxe bodies, lol?

I suspect the answer is probably that you can end up being all of the above... provided they have minds or perspectives. My own view on reincarnation is that if it is ocurring, which some evidence does support, that it is probably not in a progressive or evolutionary direction. We are probably already significantly more advanced than any life could better us to be, or so I speculate. I suppose that we probably take on various lives to understand specific perspectives, and to have novel experiences. For instance, suppose I chose to be a bird... my best guess is that I am not a bird because that is the result of some karmic chain, but rather because I chose to have experiences only a bird can have.

Regarding children... I am guessing they are conscious toward late term... maybe middle of last trimester, based on brain activity.
