I find I work on my charkras while meditating now out of habit.

I originally found it very useful for energy raising and ultimately phasing. I also found concentrating on my chakras while meditating to not only be very beneficial for energy work, it also kept me focussed and stopped me from falling asleep.

I have felt pressure in my heart, brow, and crown chakras while doing a breathe focused meditation.  I have had several occasions in which I felt like I was on a really wild roller coaster, which felt similar to a spinning type motion around all 3 axis.  I have resently tried to focus on my lower chakras when meditating instead of the breathe and had similar pressure feelings in my lower chakras (ones below the heart chakra).

Normally it is only in the front, but every once in a while I get the feeling in the back as well.  This seems to occur on days when I did not have any bad things happen to me and therefore I am very positive.

I have worked with the NEW system as well as meditations in which I focus on specific chakras.

About what form I would like the information in, it really does not matter as I have no preference.  So you can use whatever form you feel like using.

My experience is that my meditations seem deeper since I began doing the NEW system last year. Like James indicated, my initial use was for energy raising, then astral phasing. Now the energy, meditation and phasing have all sort of come together each time I settle in. So now,an astral phasing session starts out with a little meditating, then energy, then phasing.

Im curious what do you do with the crystals?  Do you wear them or put them somewhere when you do energy raising?

Thank you for all the input so far and that which will come later as well.

I tried praying to Mother Earth the last few nights which is when I do my meditations and all.  At first I felt kind of wierd because I did not know what to say, but eventually words just started coming out of my mouth with out thinking of them.  It was amazing, it was like the earth was telling me what it wanted me to say.  After a while I felt very uplifted, like what happens when you are sad and some of your friends manage to cheer you up.  What kind of things do you say in your prayer?

I know that I have the right types of quartz around my house somewhere because I used to collect stones and rare gems when I was younger, my collection is huge, I just have to find them which may take some time.  Until that time I will continue with the prayers to mother earth and see what happens.

That was what I was looking for.. was just wondering what you do with them.

One question I do have is how do you tell its genuine smokey quartz?  is the other thing just as good?  Should I just try to buy that just in case?

I have a quick question, Should all kinds of stones be cleansed before use, if so do you use the same method for all?  I have many different stones that I want to experiment with, but I am unsure of how to prep them if they need it.  I found an e-book with many the properties of many different stones and found some other stones with similar properties to the smoky quartz that I want to test.

Hooray, I found part of my rock collection and in it I found rose quartz, but my smoky quartz must be in the part that I did not find.  That is why I looked around for stones with similar properties.

That site is great, it has so many different stones listed.  I even learned the names to some stones that I have.  I have 6 stones that I am currently soaking in salt water.  I have noticed in the last few nights that after I ground myself I go into a slightly deeper meditation than I used to, and hope the stones will also have similar affects.  I sit on the ground with my legs crossed while meditating, and imaging that roots grow out from the base of my spine deep into the core of the earth.  Once the are fully developed I begin praying to mother earth.  The feeling is amazing when the energy starts coursing through my body.  Thanks again, I let you know what happens when I start using the stones as well.

even though this wasn't to me I was wondering what you meant by it.  Do you mean you think OBE's sometimes happen because the soul wants to reenergize itself because a person isnt grounded?  Or some "difficult" OBE's happen because a person isnt grounded.  I guess it confused me a little because it seems most people would want OBE's in any form so grounding could be looked at as detrimental to having them.

And do you think the soul is able to reenergize outside the body?

I bought a smokey quartz crystal from this metaphysical shop.  It was good I went too cus they had a copy of "Far Journeys" which is out of print so I was happy about that.  I like how the crystal looks and its the first I ever bought.

The lady there didnt know what cloudy rose was.  Or more specifically she wasn't sure what I meant by cloudy.  

Why is it I feel kinda embarassed going into a metaphysical shop? (Not really a question I expect anyone to be able to answer).

Is grounding related to procrastination?  Or I should ask is procrastination often a symtom of a need to ground yourself?  Or is that something else?

I have a couple questions that aren't exactly related to what's being talked about here but I figured some other people might be interested. My first question is, what can I do once I am able to see through my eyelids? and what state am in once this occurs? just a full trance or...? I'm trying to figure out where I'm at. My second question is, how do I get into a deeper trace? Beings I am not too advanced should I expect a deep trace to take a while to achieve? Actually I have another question, when there is a lot of energy running through my body my eyelids start to flutter and it really distracts me, how can I stop this and what does it mean? Thanks

I don't think that I am as good as timeless says but I will help any way I can.

I think by what you are describing seeing through your eyelids and all that you are closer to Astral Projecting than anything else.  My guess is that yes you are in a trance state.  About deepening this trance and preventing the eyelid flutter timeless is right.  What I recommend is, just as timeless said you should work on your root chakra.  This can be as simple as moving your awareness to your root chakra while meditating.  

For 3-5 days I recommend that you meditate until you feel the energy rising up through your body, when your eyelids start to flutter, and then move ALL of your awareness down to your root chakra.  This should lessen the flutter, and is a great way to work on your focus and self-discipline.  In turn, with less distractions you will naturally enter a deeper trance.

After you get used to calming the flutter and any other distrations using this technique, begin grounding yourself in some way at the beginning of your meditation.  There are several ideas listed in this topic.  As described in this topic it is very possible to have energy surges which can be incredibly distracting and by focusing on the root chakra you can control these surges while still allowing energy to flow throughout your body.  If I am correct in assuming that you are close to projecting, then grounding is critical if you want to progress further in your meditations.

I was just wondering whether having worked on your chakras or not makes a difference in your meditation sessions. I read before somewhere that it does make them better; is this true? I am very interested in this as I havn't done any primary chakras yet and am hoping to increase my meditation quality. Thanks a lot
