Hey guys,

I've been wondering for a while now if losing your temper, being annoyed or frustrated has to do with your fears and ego? Does a high quality counsciousness get angry, annoyed? Or is infinite patience the result of a high quality counsciousness?

For example the other day i was helping my parrents to clean out their new house and was given the task to clean the windows which proved to be rly tough. It was rly hot and i was hungry, and in pain from being sore from working out and the god d*mn windows just wouldnt get as crystal clear as my mom wanted them. Eventually i was done but at the price of my good mood. I guess helping someone else out this day wasnt such a happy time as i expected it would be.
Sometimes circumstances can just make u really frustrated...

Any thoughts?

big THANKS :-D

It has everything to do with fear and ego.

Something I figured out not too long ago is that spiritual people, people with a high quality of consciousness get angry.  Sure.  Everyone does.  I guess that one day, with enough growth, you could choose to never react with anger to a given situation... but that's a long way off for most people.

The difference is that they don't hold onto that anger and it's usually not directed at a source.  For example, if I ever do get into a situation where I get angry or frustrated at something... the next second I'll be super happy again.  I simply don't hold onto the anger like I used to.  It really confused people I'm with too.  LoL  They wonder how I could get so angry, then the next second be perfectly happy again.  hehe

In the case you state... look into WHY that situation made you angry?
...the trick though is that you absolutely MUST be 100% honest with yourself.  Easier said than done really, as most people are too willing to accept whatever lies their ego tells them just to make themselves feel better.  But then, that is the job of the ego... to make you feel better.  Sometimes the honest truth can hurt, but it needs to be said.

Remember though that in the end, the anger you feel is a choice you made.  As I said, it takes time, but you can learn to choose to make a different choice.  :)

It's key when you said that helping someone out this day wasn't what you EXPECTED it to be.  When we have expectations it's very easy to get annoyed and frustrated.  When I take on a project I remind myself not to have expectations about how hard it's going to be or how long it's going to take.  I say to myself --I don't know if this is going to hurt or if I will enjoy it but either way it's OK.  It's really not about me anyway.  That way even if my body suffers my mind and spirit will be at peace. :)

I feel the answer to this is a definite YES!

Everyone gets annoyed, frustrated, angry, but then the rational side of your brain kicks in a calms things down. A person of "high quality consciousness" as you put it would realize why they are angry, right at the onset of anger and that realization would be enough to calm the situation right there and then.

Everyone has a "boiling point", but most know how to cool that down as well.

I guess when you get angry, you can ask yourself if that state of mind is serving your best intentions or hindering them. For instance, with young children, sometimes they are about to do something very dangerous or harmful, and the only way to get their attention is being sharp for a moment- that seems like an appropriate time for a momentary response; those same children, however, don't generally respond well to being shouted at, and it would be better for them to be reasoned with in a much calmer tone afterwards.

So if anger is a tool for you to meet a task it is best suited for, and can be discarded as quickly as it arises, then it can used. If anger on the other hand is a loss of control, perhaps it would be good to examine your state of mind when you had that experience. Usually what it was for me I found, is that I wanted things to be a certain way, and some person or circumstance forced them to be another; it was a response to an attachment to a certain state of affairs.

For me I found that after a while of being somewhat proficient at meditation, regardless of whether I had meditated for days or weeks ago, there was a certain stillness of mind that had far less attachments or expectations. For me, I found it was far more difficult to arouse strong emotions that I didn't choose to feel once I had learned that mental state, and it was something that never really wore off!

So I guess my advice would be to learn what that state of contentment feels like, and a lot of unsought benefits may follow.

The stop and think thing works so well with most things that appear difficult.
The instant you found things difficult, a moments thought on WHY would have made things clear.
There's always Google for most tasks and this aid is usually a good move.
Cleaning glass or anything that appears difficult, its most often the approach taken not being the correct one.
In limited conditions you do have to bite the bullet and get on with it.
Once you've thought about the task in hand, whatever way you solve it, its your choice.
Why be angry with yourself?
If you totally refused the task, how many others would be angry at you?

There's no point in upsetting yourself enough to upset others.
It's easy to forgive yourself, for the others, it may not be.

Vinegar works well on glass by the way.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Vinegar works well on a lot of things, lol.

It is amazing how many things we are told to clean with poison when a 4000 year old substance everyone has works as well or better.

Just realizing the issue and wanting to change already places you in elite company. This is just one of those random and made-up percentages but I'd guess that 90% of the people alive today are content with believing they can't find the answers to some of life's "hardest" questions.

Don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying I have the answers, only that I believe some can be found.

This means working on fear and ego as you are starting to see.

I bet you didn't think your simple question would get so deep but you never know around here.
