I haven't been on this site for a while because of college, but now I'm on a medical leave back home so I've been using my free time to practice Astral Projection again and I've finally opened Robert Bruce's M.A.P 90 Day Guide. I am at day four at the moment but last night I had some pretty interesting experiences. I had about four lucid dreams in one night, which I'd have to say is an all time record for me. I also managed to last pretty long in one of my dreams but sadly I lost focus before I managed to fulfill the plot conclusion in it. I tried to re-enter but I found myself in another dream where I just talked to a dream character about life, god, death and my family.

However, in the middle of the night, I found myself what seemed like awake in my room and I was going through the standard hypnogogic sounds and such. I felt a wave of fear over me because I was afraid of opening my dream eyes and seeing an intruder. (No offense Bedeekin if you're reading this, but in your SP video, the image of the nude woman with a horse head just gives me the chills) however, I affirmed to myself that nothing could possibly hurt me and I repeated the name of my goddess within my head just to comfort myself and I soon found the fear vanishing. I then saw shadows moving on my wall that looked like claws but I thought nothing of them and continued to relax. At one point, my walls turned into an Egyptian tomb complete with hieroglyphs, but that didn't last too long.  I then felt weird (like the vibrations I guess) and it felt like my legs were shaking uncontrollably. I then realized that one leg was crossed over the other and I had trouble deciding whether to lie straight of leave the leg crossed. I then focused on relaxing myself so I wasn't shaking and then I eventually heard a voice counting down. The voice sounded like Robert Bruce's voice as I had watched one of his videos before bed.

With my hands, I started pushing against a magnetic force but it was very strong so I pushed with both of my hands against the same force and then I thought "CARP! I don't know the exit technique" but I thought of the stuff I read about rope method and whatnot. I don't remember what I did exactly but I was dragged out of my body by my leg as if it was on a chain and then I found myself in a warped room with tiles with grotesque images on them. I think this was internal because one of the tiles had a picture of Sid's Spider Baby from Toy Story. Either my mind warped the area I was in, or the area I was in was my mind. I then heard the voice saying. "Great. Now wake up and write down in your journal" which I promptly did. I looked at the time and it was about 2:30. I was awake for a while trying to make sure I remembered everything before going back to sleep. I asked myself whether it was a dream or an OBE but then remembered the blurred line within the definition so I decided not to question it.

I don't know why last night had so much more NP experiences, but I was sleeping on the floor in my sleeping bag (like I usually do) and I ate about a quarter of a bag full of candy before bed.

If anyone has any comments or feedback on this experience, it would be much appreciated.

 Hello Guardian, Welcome back!  :-)

Now that you have read Robert Bruce's take on AP. Check out these two other video. One is form Tom Campbell, the other is William Buhlman. Both of them are excellent and address your questions and current experiences quite well!

What I get from this is that are you were experiencing many "signposts". I can't tell you how many times I have questioned whether my arms were crossed or legs spread out simply because of all of the "phantom" bodily movements I encountered. Sometimes I felt my body was 10 ft tall, other times it felt like it was shrinking or expanding in width. Still other times I felt like I was on an Elevator going up and down. This is why so many people try to create a Elevator effect themselves to go deeper while Phasing/Meditating.

For now, try to take everything outside of your physical awareness as a NPR (Non Physical Realms/Reality) experience. Log your results and after a few months you can go back to your Journals and figure out what is happening for yourself.

You will then have enough attempts/successes under your belt to discern what really is happening here for yourself!

Wow, you're prob. a natural.  On day four!  I was going to say, that the program usually encourages your subconscious to keep working even when you sleep, so lucidity in general and consciousness will be enhanced.  So keep going, you're doing well.

ps. to Lionheart:  MAP is not a theory regarding AP, it's a 90 day program designed to teach you to AP.

I had another experience last night, (well, technically around 9am this morning as I slept it) where I was having a non-aware dream that involved a war between apes and dinosaurs (I was a dinosaur in the dream) and I invaded the enemy camp and found some crucial information and then an ape-mage was going to kill me but I bargained with him instead to be teleported away with my memory erased. I held onto my memory while being teleported as if expecting it not to be erased, and I expected to be teleported to a nearby city. (This dream had a very video-game feel) However, when I woke up from the teleportation I was in an alien landscape with red terrain and waterfallls. I was in a lucid dream at this point and I didn't get very far to explore before I woke up again in an even heightened awareness, except this time I was at what seemed like a beach with stairs going up to it. My view seemed very zoomed in, the only thing that made me think beach was the texture and color of what I saw. I couldn't move that easily, whenever I tried to move, I was moving at such a slow pace. (Maybe 1/1000 of normal movement speed?) So I then decided to switch my locomotive method from a physical style to a non-physical style since I knew I was in the Non-Physical. I then managed to rotate my body (or whatever you call it) and I saw there was a window on the beach which made me think that it was instead a building I was on at a weird angle and the black step things were something other than steps. However, I woke up to my physical body before I could really investigate further. The most interesting note I made of this experience was the ladder of awareness. First I was in a dream awareness, then I was in a lucid dream, and then I was above it. I'm still working on understanding the level above. I'm starting to get pretty fluid at the lucid dreaming state, however.

CFTraveler

Yep.  The more you practice the more aware you get.

I can count the number of lucid dreams I've had on one hand.  If I'm starting from sleep, I go from a regular dream to full awareness with no dream script.  It's just me standing (or floating/flying) in a place I've never been before and I have to decide what I'm going to do.  I think it may be that way for me because when I first started I always did conscious exits--and conscious exits always have full awareness.  I just got very used to that feeling of being fully aware so I snap into it really easy now.

So I think after achieving it a few times, you'll be used to it and it will just happen.

Guardian, Robert Monroe labeled these Lucid Adventures as a NVC, which stands for Non Verbal Communication.

I have found that many of my adventures and quests are just that, a way of communicating messages and lessons.

Szaxx is always helping people decipher their Dream messages, by dissecting what actually occurred and looking for symbolism.

I have had many Phase/LD quests and adventures and have come to also realize that they are a form of some kind of non verbal communication. Many of the NPR entities/characters I encounter, either through Phasing or LDs, don't talk to me in a verbal way. It's either straight telepathy or some kind of weird symbolism that I still haven't learned the code for. Other times it is feelings or a strange "Knowing".

Szaxx

Hi,
The first experience sounds.like a lesson where the basics of acknowledgment are being tested. The scene itself would be strange and awaken a curiosity within you. That's its purpose. You then followed the request and succeeded.
The second dream, it tells me you are stuck or were stuck in a belief of how to proceed. Almost akin to someone of religious nature who starts to experience clairvoyance.
It's a great challenge and it appears you have accepted the new experiences you've enjoyed and still hold on to the earlier frame of mind.
The struggle is more an understanding of your interpretation as it's not quite as you expected and the difference possibly makes you feel like a child being told sternly that whats occurring isn't good for your development. You have a choice. As Xanth has said " forget what you have read and learn for yourself". It's also a representation of ridicule from others and they taunt you childishly.
You are looking within yourself to get a better understanding and learning, it's not as simple as there's far more than expected.

Its a basic interpretation. Does it feel close to what you feels correct.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.
