Old Age

Since I became over 60 years of age, OOB experiences have become few and far between. I am not sure whether this is through the increase of too many other interests or the decrease of energy that comes with old age.
Are there any people who regularly Lucid dream or astral travel who are of a senior age?

I am 68 and just returning to the subject after many years. It is true that dreaming seems to decrease as you get older but I am aware of a kind of secondary psychic process.

I will post up any experiences/observations.

I should have explained more of what I meant by "secondary psychic process". It seems as though I have a complete alternative existence, part of which comes to me in dreams just before awakening. A different life with different friends, acquaintances, work, anxieties etc., etc.

Also, during the waking day I sometimes experience the following: I am walking along a dirt road, very dry. It is summer. In front of me walks a young woman. I know somehow that we have children. She is quite good looking. To the left there is a wind mill used to pump water (from an artesian well?). There may also be wooden, clap board type houses. The mood in this experience is always very calm, relaxed and confident which is different from my usual state as I have been quite an anxious person and given to self doubt, although that has receded with greater maturity.

The type of experiences that I have are different, less 'physical' and more mental, for whatever that's worth.

To return to the question of age and AP, I don't see why it should be a problem. After all, what we are looking for is a projection which depends on the Will and that can be as strong as when you were a youth. Also you may well have achieved a certain independence, have more physical space and time to yourself etc., also a wider knowledge of associated subjects, all of which helps.

Let's face it, the older you get, the closer you are to the greatest Astral Projection of all. Trouble is, it's a one way ticket. Lol !!!
