I am watching this movie and I can't stop thinking. Of astral projection   Have any of you seen this? Maybe not entirely but it seems to me it has many similarities. Popping in and out of realities etc.

Other then there being an evil machine trying to harness our body heat, it is basically the same thing.  In fact the creator of the movie probably was highly influenced (unbenounced to him, or them, I think it was a pair of brothers who created the idea) by beings from the higher states of being; probably in a dream or whatever.

As I remember there are 3 movie matrix movies .  I thank there good movies , but I have problems with the  idea of using people as a power source .  There are better soruces of power . The peoples lives are generated by a computer .  I dont see the conection to a.p. tho.

Yeah! I watched the first one. Excluding the negative stuff and we are run off a computer lol. And no agents. Just the concept near the middle of the movie. I kept thinking conciousness

Funny topic we got going here lol..

So I see the connection in that Neo is the only being, machine or other, who is able to ignore the rules of his realities (his realities being the real world in Zion and the machine world in the Matrix).  This is pretty much what AP boils down to, we assume that this reality is just one big matrix and isn't a real world to begin with.  This explains things like clairvoyance, Healing, etc... the astral plain is just another matrix like setup, just like this plain of existence, but on a different frequency vibrations. 

The whole movie is about Neo coming to this realization even up to the point of his death and I think, although not explained in the movie, that he knew he would be able to come back since he was basically "the One" and had lived a prior life before, he was the one who freed the first batch of humans and founded Zion.  All throughout the movie they elude to  how everyone is asleep and their there was more to their accepted reality.

Even the agents fit in all this too, because even on this forum there are people who says they see daemons or things that scare them, this can be translated into agents from the movie. 

This is just my interpretation but to me it makes perfect sense and fits.
