My friend [;)] says that smoking weed helps, but I'd never do that [:D]

Through a series of synchronicities yesterday, I came across a method that does the trick.  Worked whithin 5mins last night for me.

1. Stimulate the amygdala
2. Deep Breathing, 3 in, 12-30 hold, 6 out
3. Repeated Forced concentration, i.e. focusing on an object and considering it the most important thing in the world.  Observe every last detail past the point of strain.  Relax and continue.

I was quite surprised how quickly I was in the state I wanted, considering how elusive it's been for me the last couple of years!

RoyHarper....How do you stimulate amygdala?  I checked the internet to find out what it is and it tells approx. where it is located.  Could you tell exactly where it is?  Also, after following all 3 step....it takes you where?  To a very relaxed point or out of body?

This will go into the details for you about the amygdala

With this I got to a relaxed state so that I could seperate.  In fact I lost all sense of my body and was close to slipping into a dream.  As far as I'm concerned, seperation is easy; I don't even use a method, I just will myself out.

Wake induced OBEs Are possible but they are notoriously difficult for most people.
Other than the use of drugs (which I cannot really recommentd) the 2 other options are either spend alot of time and effort meditating and practicing induction (like the Indian swamis and yogis). Or get into a sensory deprivation tank or high speed gyro machine (like that used by the Air Force to test gravilty stress on pilots).

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  I'm very excited about all the information I printed off the web site for the amygala and I look forward to putting the "how to" into practice and then sharing it with other interested people.

Roy ive looked all over that web sight but It doesnt really say how you stimulate the amygdala.  Can you go over exactly how you do that?

Just remember that the stronger your ability to use your kinesthetic imagination the easier it is.  Also it begins small, and with time the feeling get slarger and larger.  What I do is this, I focus all of my energy in my brain towards the frontal lobes.  At the same time I focus attention to where the amygdalas are in my brain, and feel them moving energy forward.  You know it's working when you begin to feel an endorphin sensation, and a general euphoria.  Once again with practice, it becomes more apparent.

RoyHarper...How often do you do the front lobel stimulation (daily, weekly, etc.? and has it brought the pop that was mentioned on the web site you posted? If so, how has it changed your life for the better other than relaxing quicker for an oob?  Could the area that is for stimulation be where the crown chakra has been described over the ages and people just not realize that it was the amygdala part of the brain that caused all the good stuff?

RoyHarper

Well I'm a bad example since I use it as a part of my Kundalini practices, thus it would be hard to descriminate between the two.  None the less, it plays a major role with the Kundalini.  Some of the effects usually associated with the Kundalini may be as a result of frontal lobe stimulation et al.

I know for a fact that when I stimulate the frontal lobes directly or indirectly my results with the Kundalini quicken and strengthen.

As for the crown chakra, it is not one and of the same.  The crown chakra has a complete seperate set of experiences.  It is the third eye that would correspond to the frontal lobes, amygdala, pineal gland etc.  Yet these two chakras are both close and can effect either one respectively (at least that's what I've found).

As for the effects of the frontal lobes and kundalini, they have definently changed my life.

Has your experiences with kundalini been all positive or a mixture of pleasant and not so pleasant?  I've read that getting involved whole heartely with kundalini before a person is ready spiritualy, emotionally, etc. can cause a whole lot of pain and mess up a person's life for awhile.  (Too much energy released to deal with.) I'm looking for wisdom and knowledge about things I know little of in order to make wise choices for the best outcomes.  In other words I don't work with fire without a way to control it. Does kundalini help a person make wiser choices?  So far, my intuition (subconscious, spirit,) what ever name we put to it helps me live my life very successfully but I know there is no end to the growing and knowlege we can experience.  I look for things that make life work more abundantly.  Does kundalini?

Last night I stopped at a book store to view more pictures of the brain in order to get a clearer picture in my mind of where the amygdala is and there were 6 or 7 different anatomy books and the last one I looked at referred to the amygdalas as tonsils.  If that is true, mine are long gone as are millions of other people's. So, can a person get the same results stimulating the pineal gland?

eeb

Hello Smilecollector,

Fortunately the amygdala is not the same as your tonsils! The amygdala has the shape of a tonsil or almond, but is located in the center of the brain, in the hippocampus area, just above the brainstem.

I have a link here where you can see it for yourself: http://www.epub.org.br/cm/n05/mente/struct_i.htm

If you imagine a spot in the center of your head on the level of your eyes, you must be quite close.

Best regards,
Ebele

Thank you eeb,  I decided to experiment and was able to get a lot of response.  I did my relaxing exercises and then imagined my body double hands inside my brain and had my bd thumbs massage my brain from in back of my eyes all the way back (figuring I was bound to find them somewhere in that area)I did and felt some clicking and a whole lot of vibrations.  I'm excited about what I may discover for myself and I'll just keep practicing. Also, for others interested in readin Neil Slades book called The Frontal Lobes Supercharge, I found a copy at the library and if I like it I'll buy a copy.

How do you get to the state for OOBEs from being awake?  There's something I'm just not getting.

I can Astral Project quite easily, so long as I'm in the state.  So far I can only get there through sleep.  As far as seperating is concerned, that's easy.  Yet if I try to do this after relaxing and such, I can begin to seperate but the body will move also.

What should I be doing to put the body asleep?
