A couple of questions

Hi, I'm new to this thing and I've kept trying it for the past week.
I just want to share this with someone because if I tell my mom she thinks I'm doing some kind of satanic ritual.

So, I was listening to some binaural beats to help me out, then my sister came into my room. I didn't know it was her and it scared the living excrement out of me, which led me to opening my eyes. The problem is that when I've opened my eyes I saw the whole room with a red contrast and my eyes hurt like when you wake up in the morning.

My first question is: What was that red contrast thingy? Was it just my imagination or...?

And the second one: I've listened to death metal for some years now and I can't just throw it all away, but if it's necessary I will try to

The red and soreness is probably just your eyes adjusting, not to mention getting the crap scared outta you like that can also be a factor. 

And if death metal relaxes you, then by all means listen to it.  It's not the TYPE of music that does it, it's your reaction to it.
