Quick run down - havent projected yet, lost my ability to lucid dream a long time ago and I think I've gotten it back :)

Last night (or 6AM this morning rather) I was dremaing I was at the dinner table with my parents and I realised I was dreaming (or it was just apart of the dream if that makes sense) because my dad was there (he's no longer with us) and I said to everyone at the table "I'm dreaming, dad isn't really here, quick hug him before he disappears" and I got my hug in ... that dream ended and a new one began, I was in a dodgy pub not wearing much and I had to wrestle this woman who was also not wearing much .. I was about to and then I said to myself "hahaha I'm dreaming!" and I walked away, and after I told her not to the organiser called me a c**t (I think this reflects what's happening in my personal life at the moment, I am steering clear of my ex and he responds poorly when I don't want to hang out with him and "jokingly" calls me that word) and I walked away, and as I was walking I was willing myself out of my body and suddenly I was wooshed up into the air, I did a sort of a flip thing and was hovering, it was beautiful, I was in an open plane and there was a nice house there surrounded by Autumn leaves .... aaaand then I woke up.

Thoughts? I think the affirmations are working!

Oh yeah there's more! Last night as I was trying to project I got the usual vibrations but something different happened...I was able to stay still for 20 minutes (trying to get to sleep paralysis) and although I couldn't feel if my hands were doing it it felt like they were succumbing to spasticity ... curling inwards and vibrating/lots of sensations ... my vision was doing intersting things that hasn't happened before and I felt random spots of my body vibrating, but then it all dissipated and I sort of came back to "reality", as if I was laying there normally waiting for sleep.

I'm intrigued. I think I'm getting closer :)
Woohoo!

Hello Jessica!

I am sure you will receive all kinds of replies in regards to what astral projection is, how it's achieved, what you should do, and where you're at.

I simply am offering you my own perspective as someone who has had my own successful out of body experiences, and formed my own theories from my own experiences and research, so you are free to take it however it resonates with you, and in no way I claim that "this is how it is"

I am simply saying, decide for yourself. :)

So, as far as I'm concerned with what astral projection is, I theorize lucid dreaming and astral projecting are the same thing since they are both non-physical occurrences. I do also think that the body needs rest, and the soul does not, so our soul "leaves" every time we sleep, because only the body needs rest. Or the soul at least shifts into other dimensions of sorts. I think this is what "dreams" are, and also what astral projection is. There are many different theories and views on this, this is just a theory composed of my own experience.

So if this is so, you are already projecting!

Congratulations!

Another method, as it seems you are working on, is meditation by laying down and relaxing to achieve lucid projection. Since you have reached the feeling of "being out of reality" then "snapping back into it" it seems you are making great progress with this method as well! Don't you think so?

In my own experience, I find projection easiest by becoming lucid from already inside your dream, though I have achieved projection from the meditation method, I stand by becoming lucid is easier, simply because it is difficult to remain lucid while falling a sleeping, rather than becoming lucid after already falling asleep. And it sounds like you can already do that :)

What are your thoughts so far?
Would you like to hear any suggestions for either method, or have any questions?

I'm happy to answer!

Happy travels! ♥
