Was taught a valuable message last night

I posted this in the Dreams section as well.  I think more people read this specific topic thread so I wanted to post it here as well - because of the great message it can teach.

Last night I had a very extensive dream that I trapped a large bison inside a house, and fought with a camel

Bison are titanic in size, weighing in at more than ton, so to me represent the infinite Non-Physical.  Camels, to me, represent long arduous journeys.
I've been working almost every night for over a year to project - mostly using exit techniques, and more recently trying to "allow" my spirit to free itself from the Physical.  And I've had a great many frustrated nights and fights with physical body, higher self, and spirit guide.

I think the message of the dream was to stop fighting and instead of being frustrated with how much time I've spent meditating and raising energy and researching - be thankful for the spiritual evolution I've undergone in the last 14 months due to my failures, hard work, and knowledge gained.  Becoming frustrated and fighting the journey is only trapping my infinite spiritual potential inside me.

Embrace the camel (arduous journey) and the buffalo will be freed (Astral projection/OBE).

Sorry for the re-post but I relayed the chronological order of the dream wrong.  And I think the order of events makes the dream make more sense.
I fought with the camel first on the top of a very large wooden post, then trapped the buffalo inside the house.
I think the order of events is purposeful to show that my fighting with the long journey is what led to  me trapping my spirit inside my physical body.

Gees SORRY FOR THE RE-RE-POST

My first EVER post on the Astral Pulse many months ago was about a dream I had where my Spirit Guide came to me and told me I needed to learn patience (among a few other things from other dreams in that post)

Now Its clear to me that my spirit guide saw this coming for many many months and tried to protect me from it.  But I didn't listen well enough.
Robert Bruce once said you may not know the symbolism of your dreams for a long time to come.  I just realized how true that can be.
So above other things my dream also taught me again to be patient.

You are right on spot with the bison and the camel.
You know sometimes I just meditate.
Like I just did it, and I think meditation is the same as Astral Projecting.
I don't even need to close my eyes to meditate.
All I have to do it keep my hands together and my chakras open for more information to come in
Meditation is easy because as soon as you're spirit is calm (which can be performed in any state)
The energy come and you learn new stuff... And meditation are really clear messages.
Astral Projection can be too fast sometimes. Most of the time... lol.
When you reach higher planes information is poured in your spirit super fast so it takes time to decrypt everything.
But meditation act as some kind of filter that smooth down everything.
When you meditate, you don't really meditate for a specific goal except calming your mind/spirit.
So information comes naturally.
Sometimes I prefer meditation because it does not affect your third eye as much.
Having the 3rd eye too open (like when projecting) can make you hallucinate in the physical realm.
Not a good idea unless you're so open to theses hallucinations that you don't mind seeing things while you talk to people.
I don't know if it's good to have the third eye too open to be honest I think you have to keep it in balance.
The partial becomes complete; the crooked, straight; the empty,
full; the worn out, new. He whose (desires) are few gets them; he
whose (desires) are many goes astray.

I've never really tried meditating to calm the mind/spirit.  Usually for the goal of projection.  I'll try this new intent  :-)

It's relaxing and when you don't set goal I think it achieves the same thing because in some way you are not asking for anything so, information comes in naturally I think.
Here's a verse from the Dao De Jing which pretty much illustrate what I'm trying to say:

--

22

The partial becomes complete; the crooked, straight; the empty, full; the worn out new.
He whose (desires) are few gets them; he whose (desires) are many goes astray.

Therefore the sage holds in his embrace the one thing (of humility),
and manifests it to all the world.
He is free from self-display, and therefore he shines;
from self assertion, and therefore he is distinguished; from self-boasting,
and therefore his merit is acknowledged; from self-complacency,
and therefore he squires superiority.
It is because he is thus free from striving that therefore no one in the world is able to strive with him.

That saying of the ancients that 'the partial becomes complete' was not vainly spoken:
—all real completion is comprehended under it.
