A few things I'd like to know

Before I ask my questions, I'd like to say as a disclaimer that I did lurk a bit and read some information
, but still would appreciate if someone elaborated on these questions.
(Sorry if some questions were already asked countless times or sound stupid. I'm a complete newb I just started practicing lucid dreaming and this subject intrests me as well.)

1.) what exactly is astral projection? I know thst science does not deny its existence and states that it's just happening in your head and and it's all subconscious, while I have also seen many websites where AP gurus claim it's an entrance to a different world where you can interact with spirits and you can also spectate physical world while "being in your spirit form" so, is the whole thing spiritual or it all can be scientifically explained? If it can be, then how are you able to "visit space, oceans, ",parts of world you haven't been before basically? Can you see humans while astrally projecting?

2.)it has been stated that "you can interract with higher beings". What exactly are those higher beings?

I have also read that you can witness past events and time travel,  can you give more details about that?

See how reading my reply you are aware of your surroundings?  The keyboard in front of you, the walls around you, maybe your pet/family/friends in the other room?  That's consciousness.  You are actively aware and experiencing your environment. 
Astral Projection/OBE is placing your consciousness into other places (Astral Planes/Spirit World/Heaven whatever you want to call it) and experiencing those places.  Everything works off of consciousness.

Yes you can interact with higher beings.  I have (as many here have) met many spirits and my spirit guide.  I haven't, but some people have actually projected into space and met aliens.  Robert Bruce mentions having met astral wildlife similar similar to what we perceive as fairies even.  Also, I haven't met an angel, but have read many cases of people meeting angels. 

Witnessing past events/time travel, I prefer the term "Remote Viewing."  And I have done this.  Took my consciousness to the past where I experienced myself in the backseat of my moms old car as a 5 year old driving down the street in my old city.  In reference to seeing the past and future, many believe this is accessing the Akashic Records, which are told to be a library of records of the past and future.  If you believe in different astral planes, I think its said to be on the 4th Astral Plane. 

Dejavu (sp?) Some people think this is where you projected some night and visited the Akashic Records and saw the future.

Personally, I have no experience other than that one remote viewing example so it's probably a better question for someone more experienced.

Based on what I have read, people could potentially see themselves gaining weight in the future lets say (It's a bad example because as far as I've read when you see the future, they're usually scenes with lots of energy. For example a plane crash or a wedding)  but sticking to the example, I guess you could start working out more and change the future. 

As far as remote viewing goes, based on my experience, is it really is "Remote VIEWING"  Not "Past/Future CHANGING"   
It's an observer status.

But that's what my personal experience has taught me.  And my experience is quite limited

What I meant was, For example, if i saw that in future I'm going to argue with a friend and eventually part ways with them, can I alter the circumstances in a way that our friendship will be saved?

The problem with the future is that what happens is probabilistic.
What you see is going to be a combination of many factors.. of which, might never happen. 
Hence, this isn't advisable.

This is a little more do-able. 

You're consciousness... you have access to everything that "DID" happen, and everything that "COULD HAVE" happened.  You just need to learn to place the Intent while projecting to see.

I don't understand how can somebody see the future. Does this mean that destiny exists? Everything is already written  in Akashic Records?

They're not seeing "the future".  They're seeing a probability of what MIGHT happen based upon certain parameters which have occurred or will historically (or probably) occur.  Nothing is set in stone.  Nothing is "already" written to happen.

Seeing isn't the best word as most don't see a thing. Some personal experiences have given me a precise replica of things that were to occur. They all happened exactly as percieved.
The next level down is the most common. This is where you get a hunch or a feeling that something will happen. You can understand some of the details given, they are usually close to how you intetpret them.

In all cases the percieved feelings are based upon the thoughts of those present at the time of the event. This does leave things open to error as their thoughts paint the picture seen.

It all starts with your ability to read peoples feelings when they are close or you think of them.
How many stories are based on two lovers separated by great distance and they know when the other is in trouble etc.
