Mirrors in Lucid Dreams and OBEs

Why are you someone else when ever you look in a mirror via lucid dream or OBE? I had a lucid dream this morning and I looked into my mirror in the bathroom which seemed real as hell and I was a girl. And yes of course I checked myself out. I was of latin/americac descent and was around 5"1 or 5"3. I had long brown hair and was skinny. I even lifted up my shirt and my cup size was at least a b or c.  Everything always feels so real when you look in mirrors and things project back at you. I think mirrors might reveal past lives when you gaze into them. After that I opened my door and there was this girl in my room and I gave her a high five lol. Then I stepped out side and the scene changed to me being chased in the woods. I was with this guy who I trusted and he also got chased by another guy. The other guy had a golf club and stuck him in the head. There was another club next to me. It was old and rusted. It looks like he killed people here with golf clubs and burred the bodies in the woods around the vicinity.  After he hit the guy I picked up the rust club to defend myself and then he rushed toward me and then everything went black.

Note: I arrived to the scene by car in a old pickup truck.

Every time I see myself in mirrors I'm always the same person.  I always look different - better usually, but still the same person. 

Whenever I don't understand something, I just try to reflect (pun intended) on what happened and see what I can learn from it.

There's also the mirror of souls, having used this in my early days to 'correct entities attitudes' and sort other problems whilst in the Badlands, its like no other. I was guided to this in 1968 and utilised it's services. It can be googled too. I had no knowledge of it at all back then and only googled it last year. There's some overdramatisation in the results of the search but you'll get the picture.
I can find it again if the need arises but that'll be a last resort. I'm not as innocent as I was and may not like the results that I find. I've already seen some of the future events in my life back then and some have come to pass.
The reality of it seemed doubtful back then. The future info given has changed that misconception.

Can mirrors be used as gateway once we are projecting ?

Let's say for instance that I wish to meet spirit x : do you think I could state something like "when I go through that mirror I will be in presence of spirit x" ?

Or same for a location : "once I go through this mirror I will be on the moon".

Would both those affirmations work ?

Mirrors were the first and most obvious gateways or portals that occurred to me. Windows, doorways, pictures and paintings are others.

Having and expressing your Intent for a destination in the proper way is the key. Once you have that part you begin to realize that literally anything can be utilized as a gateway, or that gateways aren't even necessary in the first place.

The two commands you suggested should work, just remember the Intent that must go along with the command: like the certainty of stating a known fact. Or a strongly felt desire.

It can be as simple as, "I want to go here." or "I want to see this person."

Often you will end up where you originally expected, but sometimes you can be diverted elsewhere, so be ready for unexpected adventures.

but if a mere statement suffices to go somewhere or see a being, mirrors get unnecessary then right ?

just have to say "I want to go to the moon now !" without jumping through a mirror and that would have the job done, correct ?

Another question, can we use the mirror as a scrying device ? For instance, I want to see where I will be in 10 years, so I go in front of the mirror and ask : "show me what my life will likely be in 10 years !". Could this work ?

The portal is an aid or a prop that may be necessary early on. The statement is another aid/prop.

The Intent is the key.

Mirror in the NP as a scrying device. Interesting idea, I haven't tried this. Just understand that asking a question such as the one you suggested may not give the answer you expect. Your higher self may disagree with showing you too much of your future. Like asking for the lottery numbers...not gonna happen.

I have seen myself in a mirror while OOB on only 1 or 2 occasions. My appearance was very similar to my physical earthly appearance.
Mirrors Are occasionally used as portals/gateways to other realms and dimensions. I have never done this personally but Have read a good dozen or more OBE reports of other people who have used mirrors as dimension portals for teleportation.
My problem with this is..... Where does the mirror portal/gateway lead to??  It's not as if there is a sign next to the mirror reading "This mirror is a gateway to ____ "(fill in the blank  ) Now some adventurous souls are not deterred by this problem. But most people are probably not going to try to go into a mirror during an OBE in the hope that it will take them somewhere exotic and unknown.

I remember peering into mirrors twice this year.

The first time was quite interesting. In the mirror, i was reflected as mostly naked, down to my underwear and covered in mud(feces?)

The second time I looked into a mirror, my head looked a bit 'different' and in my forehead was a literal third eye that blinked on and off.

The last time I saw a mirror, I thought to myself....nah, don't feel like looking in that this time and went on outside etc....

The mirror can lead anywhere...it is just waiting for your Intent. It's just a mechanism, a contrivance that you have subconsciously introduced into your field of awareness, providing you a psychological means of transference to another area of Non-Physical Reality. Just dive into it with the Intention to go somewhere or visit someone. You may get where you want to go or you may get diverted, but there's no harm in trying.

Actually looking into a mirror can be problematic...lol. The first time I tried, I saw a fuzzy, translucent image of me. The second time was rather shocking...I saw my body as if the skin was removed and thus, the remaining visceral musculature, not quite right but very disturbing...as some describe it...the meat sack...lol

I remember once when I was projecting, I came upon a movie screen with some movie playing on it... I don't know what it was... but I tried to "enter" the scene.  I took a run at it... jumped... and SMASHED my face into the brick wall behind the screen.  Yeah, true story.  >_<

Obviously it didn't hurt, but it did knock me back stunned for a second... LOL

My Intent was pretty bad at that point.

Potentially, yes. Mirrors are gateways, and they are also symbolic. They can work as tools for other things too. Sometimes mirrors won't even work. Mirrors are one of the wonders in the Astral plane. They have  many functions. You can use them to "call" people, too.

I did AP/LD tonight (more like early morning) and I looked in a mirror. I was me but slightly off. Mirror was also moving, kinda like water in a bowl, if you hold a bowl in hands and move it, there were no waves, just movement.

I remembered people saying that you can use them as portals so I wanted to try. I put my hand into the mirror and it went in, it kinda swallowed it. It wasn't even solid-ish, like walls were in my dream, I had to use some effort to go though the wall but not mirror, it just swallowed my hand. And it felt that if I would push deep enough I would end up inside of it, somewhere else in the other side.

I was wishing for mirror to bring me somewhere and show me around the place. I was asking for it to bring me to some kind of entity, either real or subconscious, that could explain me things about astral plane and show me the place and how stuff works, or in worst case just interact with my subconscious mind. I was about to go in but then I woke up.

I don't know what is that about dreams that they end in the worst possible moment there is...

It may simply be that you're not ready to accept what you'll be given.
It doesn't work like the black and white of the physical.
That's why sites like dreammoods exist. Interpretation is key in many of these 'show me' experiences.

Haven't sen myself in a mirror yet but did interact with a hospital waiting room tv last night lol. The only thing that was on the screen was binary code like on the matrix and i knew it was not just a tv so i asked just what are you? Had some pretty disturbing things to say and then a face started forming out of the screen and I snapped back. It was strange.
