I've been seeing someone in my dreams and I need help finding him and answers

Over the past few months, I've noticed something very different happening when I close my eyes. I've been seeing places and people, places I've never been to and people I've never seen. For the most part, it's a guy I've been seeing who I have absolutely no idea of where he's come from or why I keep seeing him.

When I was a kid, I used to hear a lot of things, things that I still hear to this day. Voices calling out my name, things moving and shuffling in the middle of the night when there is no animal or person roaming around my small apartment. I've felt someone sit on the edge of my bed, and even went so far as to feel someone put their hand in mine, which needless to say jolted me awake.

I made an anonymous meme on 9gag recently about my experiences, and got feedback I wasn't expecting. A lot of people have said that he's my soul mate, calling out to me and trying to reach me. Others have said it's merely my imagination or a soul I had a deep relationship with in a past life. I know one thing, and one thing only, and that's we're somehow connected. Every once in a while, I'll see him flash before my eyes, and all of a sudden an overwhelming feeling with rush over me. Most of the time it's pain, physical pain in my leg or my arm. Sometimes even my stomach. One time, I saw him curled up against a wall, with his legs tucked into his chest and his head down. A sadness so intense came over me that I was immediately brought to tears for literally no reason that I could see. I wasn't watching a sad movie or having an upsetting conversation with someone, I was laying down in my bed trying to sleep.

I guess I'm just desperate to know more of what's going on with me, and I figured this would be a good way to. I should also mention that there's a strong feeling in my gut that the places he's been showing me are all in Scotland. I hadn't been entirely convinced until recently when he showed me a sign that read 'Edinburgh'. I don't know if that was merely my imagination getting the best of me or if he really was trying to show me where he is.

Some of the people online have told me it's astral projection and that someone is trying to contact me, for whatever reason. I've been trying to figure it out, but no matter how hard I try, something won't let me go. I called out for help in my mind, and he has come to me. He reached down, like I was on the ground, and gave me his hand. I felt the heat of it against my own and it scared me so much that I snapped out of the dream completely.

Basically, what I need is help. Anything you can offer me, or anyone who may be able to help me get more answers would be greatly appreciated. I need to find him, I need to know who he is and why he's trying to contact me. I need help.

When falling asleep you could think on meeting him. The fear you have is hindering you, perhaps you can drop this knowing you want to meet up. This is a good start.

It sounds like he is really trying to get your attention. The reason could be as simple as bringing your attention to the fact that you are in another realm at the time. In other words, he could be helping you realize you are Astral Projecting.

Many of us, including myself, had a Guide that helped us at the beginning of our journeys into the other realms. Some of them just appeared out of the blue. But with me the more I learned of the other realms, the less my "mentor" appeared. There were many after him, but they only stayed for a short period of time.

So, now that you have become aware of this individual, it's time that you ask "him" what his purpose in your reality is. Like you said, it could be a guide, it could be someone from your former life, it could also be someone in need and you are their "invisible helper". Only you can find out the answer to this puzzle. The other realms are full of quests, tests and puzzles. It sounds like you are finding that out right now for yourself.
