As anyone had any profound lucid dreams after listening to the Gateway cd's? I tried Focus 12 yesterday and the dreams I had last night were unreal and extremely lucid. My fear stops me from leaving my body, however. I am too scared of what's on the other side. Any tips to help get past this?

Learn to TRUST and believe in that TRUST!   :-)

There is nothing that can hurt you. You can abort at any time. Just remember thought=action in these "realms". So if you think there is something fearful near you, then there will be. Go to your "Happy Place". Nothing bad can happen there!

Thank you.

Is there a way to speak with entities or guides? Is it just a matter of calling on them?

What exactly are you afraid of?  You already KNOW, first hand, FOR A FACT, what's "on the other side".
You've had dreams ALL OF YOUR LIFE which have shown you what's "on the other side".

So, right now, you're being held back by nothing but your own fears.
There's, literally, nothing there which you haven't already experienced before.

You are on the "other" side now at all time. You are just looking through the senses of a physical vehicle on "this side", but that doesn't mean you are no where else. If you take your "eyes" off of the "window" and look around, you will see that you have always been there, you have just been looking through a "window". Has anything ever happened to you?

Your experience reminded me of when I started with the Gateway Series 20 years ago. The Focus 12 exercises caused a spike in my dreaming, as well; both in number and quality and lucidity.

This should be clear evidence for you that your efforts are starting to show some results. It is pretty amazing when your 'inner self' responds so quickly and directly, isn't it?!

I will reinforce that what Lumaza is telling you is of great importance to your development now. Certain ideas now have to be understood and communicated within your 'selves'...your conscious self, your subconscious self, your dreaming self, your higher self, etcetera (however you choose to recognize them).

1 Always know that you are completely safe and protected in the Non-Physical, whether it is an OBE or a Lucid Dream.
2 Trust yourself to know what to do in any given situation.

These 'truths' may not automatically occur to you when you are in the NP early on, so it helps a great deal to reinforce these ideas while you are here in Physical Reality. You can do this with simple daily or nightly affirmations.

That way, one of the next times that you find yourself lucid in a dream and a little shocked or apprehensive about your environment, the thought will occur to you that , "Oh yeah, I am safe and protected. I just need to go with the flow." And that realization will help you to stay in a calm mindset.

Something else in your post makes me want to offer this different perspective: It sounds like you are wanting and expecting a 'traditional' OBE where you feel yourself 'exit' your body. You will likely get that experience at some point, but don't ignore the great opportunity you were just given when you recognized your increased lucidity in one or more dreams. That seems to me a VERY clear sign that this is an area you should explore. There are great NP lessons to be learned in your Lucid Dreams and you are already showing signs of being ready to jump right in!

Great job and have fun!

Oh and I see that Xanth and LightBeam posted before I had finished; Ditto what they said! :-D
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

SACOLUCCI, check out this video. It is a short video with Tom Campbell talking about overcoming fear. That in itself is a shock because most of Tom's videos are 3 hours long, lol. There is so much great to absorb in his videos that you really need to watch them multiple times. This one is short though and right to the point.

Those typical "all your life" dreams aren't the limit to the experiences you can have. To say there is literally nothing you haven't already experienced is false, if that was the case what are we doing here?

Do not deny the fear or try to tell yourself it will be the same a experience X, Y or Z. That is setting yourself up for a surprise when you do have a mind blowing experience, which is what we imagine, desire, and are anxious about experiencing. If you were giving a person that has never experienced altered states of consciousness a powerful psychedelic drug it would be quite harmful for them to believe they won't be challenged by the experience.

The attitude that is necessary to master is not one of "I know what is coming", it is "I am ok with whatever comes". Even telling yourself that you will be ok is a belief crutch, you might not be ok, embrace true acceptance and nothing can go wrong for you.
