HELP I CANT UPLOAD ANY AVATARS AT ALL!

Sorry to hear about your Avatar upload problems.

Please let me know if the problen persists and I will look into it. There are no known problems with the Avatar upload system I have to say, there are new Avatars being uploaded every day.

On a more general note - can everyone please ensure that Avatars are as close to 64x64 pixels as possible. I will not allow ones that are significantly outside those dimensions - and I see alot - some over ten times that size!  The system automatically sizes them, but if they are not more less the right shape or size to start with,the image quality is seriously diminished, and it affects loading times.

I am having the exact same problem Tisha had. I follow the steps but when I select "upload" I get the "The page cannot be found" I'm running XP and IE6 at medium security. The avatars are jpg and are 64 x 64. Maybe it's a firewall or something. I don't know.

I FINALLY figured out what went wrong. I was trying to upload files with a *.JPEG extension. The avatars were from a free site and that is how they saved on my computer. So I changed it to *.JPG and it worked!!!!![] My VERY Bad. [:I]

Why isn't this working for me!  I've got above average intelligence, I swear, and I'm even trying to upload avatars that are being used by other people, just to be sure I'm not picking bad avatars.  5 or 6 attempts, and NADA.


I go to my personal section, log in, go to the place where you upload avatars, hit "browse," pick a file, then hit "upload."  Then, I get a "page not found" error, and the file doesn't upload.

anyway, if anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong I'd be so happy.
