Hey guys, I need help with contacting my spirit guide. I know he's around bcz sometimes I feel a presence when I concentrate on the now. But I need help talking to him. One time after a failed AP attempt (not really failure bcz I was close to do it) I was more intuitive and I could sense low vibrational beings from the lower realities. I used my thoughts to get them away (thinking of light and such). I thought of an angel and I saw one, I felt these dark spirits cowardly ran away then I felt a calm and peace like love. I asked my guide as to why didn't do anything and told me I had to utilize him.
How do I do this?

Within my own experience and research, the issue of contacting our individual spiritual guide(s) can develop in one or more ways: A very direct, first-person involvement...or what seems to be more common, an indirect method where dreams, visions and downloads can occur. Don't just expect that the translation has to happen automatically; it may take a few days or weeks or months and even requiring some active meditative attempts.

The method of contact from "our" side seems relatively easy...just be in a receptive, meditative, relaxed state and put forth the request for contact or to ask a question...it really is as simple as that. The "quality" of the intent or request may need some adjusting, but if the Intent is pure, the request should always get through. With that said, the nature of the response is purely an individual thing...it will be of a nature and quality designed for you only. It may be a voice directly responding; it may be in the form of an immediate vision; it may be in the form of a dream later in the night or a few nights later. The symbolism may be obviously and immediately apparent or it may take some time for the translation to come through, possibly through one or more meditative periods. (This is what happened for me in my Fieldtrip experience which took two years to come through, much to my surprise)

The truth is that you may not get an immediate or recognizable response; if so, don't be discouraged. If you are sincere in your effort, then be assured that the message has gotten through. Keep sending the message and eventually the response will come through in a manner that you will recognize. They have much more subtle ways of responding to us than what we might expect on a conscious level. All of this is designed to help in our learning. This teaching method is incredible.

First, good question! From my personal experience, guidance is a natural and element of our extension here into this physical life. Guides are an intimate part of our inner being, and I am surprised (at times) that guidance isn't discussed more often around here.

Second, I agree with what Escape Velocity has shared with you, but it may also be helpful to have many perspectives and experience so I will share a couple of mine.

Thank u 4 ur respoces everyone, they have been helpful, now I have an idea how to make contact. If that is how you make contact Escape Velo then it means that guides communicate like how intuition communicates then. However, I will learn how to tell a difference.

U guys I don't know what happened but I have contact with my guide, he's angelic and sounds like me when he talks. but trouble is that he sounds the same as my intuition. I can't tell the difference lol, but I know that I have to learn discernment to tell a difference should I continue on wanting a difference.

Hey lightbeing ...

It has been a while and I wanted to follow up with this (because I missed your last comment) ... "Everything I am reading above makes sense to me ... a higher part of you could be your guidance (e.g., higher self)."

I have not had this experience myself (yet). My primary guide is a female (I am male). She introduced herself to me during an OBE. However, I am also convinced that my guidance is a rather large group ... what one author calls "a complex being". Robert Monroe suggested our guidance is composed of our past life times. This also makes some sense to me ... it even resonates a bit.

So ... your comments about your experiences with guidance all make sense to me. And ... guidance is certainly more than we are physically aware of. That's just part of the mystery of it.

Hello Subtle Traveler, I've not been doing much of spiritual anything since I moved into the city and still was trying to adapt to it. But I am getting messages from my spirit guide, I was trying to astral project 2 weeks ago and I couldn't do it. Instead what happened was that my own issues came up to me and my guide actually offered guidance, comfort and all that. Honestly, I didn't know that a guide cares in that level. I could actually feel he's/she's sincere about caring and guiding to what I wanted to be and to help me develop my clairs. For now, though, I am getting to my heart more since a heart is like a being by itself and I am doing so intuitively.

I just came across this thread topic and wanted to add my experience. I just posted my experience in another topic a couple days ago. this is how I made contact with my guide.

A couple of days ago I listened to a Hemi-Sync title 'Connecting to your inner guide'. This title really affects me while listening. i tend to drift in and out of awareness. I have listened to this title about 1/2 dozen times without anything to report until now. While I was listening to this I kept thanking my guide for all the guidance and assistance I receive during my experiences but I really wanted to meet him/her/them face to face. I quickly 'Clicked Out' and saw a man standing in a hallway. He looked Spanish/Hispanic with shoulder length dark wavy hair and he said the name Anisto. I was than back in the physical listening to the audio. When the audio finished I recorded my notes and than went to my computer. I was very curious about the name and looked it up online. The name Anisto appears to be Portuguese. I have never heard that name before this night so I don't think I could have made it up. Anyways, I have thanked him very much and hope to meet him again.

I think I was able to connect because I had a strong intent to meet my guide face to face.
