Source, duality and learning?

I would assume that most of us have come to the conclusion that there's no bearded guy in the sky demanding obedience, worship, getting angry and not doing enough for suffering.  Most if not all religious people see themselves as separate from "God" not worthy of his might.  I now believe that God is source and we're a manifestation of source because source all knowing wanted to experience all there is.  Human beings, a rock, an insect, aliens, non- physical beings, all experiences.  Now I see and listen to other individuals in their journey and let me clarify this is merely my understanding, my perception, I'm obviously just a mortal with limited knowledge but I hear and read a lot about learning, that we're in a school for our soul development but then I ask if we're part of source and source knows everything but just wants to experience why is there a need to learn?  Wouldn't that be duality? Wouldn't that be a separation of our essence which could never happen but the illusion can be created to have the need for learning.  I see sometimes very complicated scenarios on how development works and I just don't think it's necessary.  Any comments on this?  Thanks

Im not exactly source knows everything in the way we think so. Answers and such, sure, what to do, sure, but things can change, as we change.

The story I heard was source split itself, made one line, to be able to learn about itself. Source going through source. And more lines were made. You will hear fractilizations. Oversouls, souls, etc. Just more splitting. Source doesnt know itself completly per say. It may know what it is at that point.

Imagine a room with 7 people that know eachother completly. A beautifly thing, but there is no way to grow. So not knowing is the foundation of growing, and i think that is where the splitting comes to play.

It's complicated. I could explain more but i think this will get the ball rolling.

Also, key point, to know is different to experience. Way different. I dont think source simply experienced for knowledge of self only, but for fun simultaneously. who knows

Per my understanding the Source is in a state of becoming and by extend all individualized characters as well. The knowledge that there is from the learning is because of the experiences and individualized expressions. They all exist simultaneously. If you exclude time from the equation, picture the Source as a book, very think. Perhaps there are pages still in the making. But open that book on page 1 000 000 997 and you will find yourself as this character at this very moment. Whichever page you open, this is an experience. Whichever page a character tunes in, that becomes their present, however the entire book exists with all of its experiences at any point, any reality, any character. That is the collective knowledge. It can not be erased because the experiences are already there. They are all in existence and each experience represent a certain present time for the characters that are involved. The book will always exist and so all of the happenings regardless how we perceive them whether as past, present or future. And again, there are pages still in the making which will continue forever, and ever, and ever....
I am not sure if I explained well, so it can be understood.

I don't think Source really knows all like we tend to think. I believe Source is just an energy, the creative energy sure but still just an energy. It flows and goes wherever it is called. It doesn't much care what we learn or think or know, to Source it is all just repurposing energy. We are the ones who anthropomorphize (?) (give human traits to) Source for our own needs and imagination. And if this true then our whole world, inner and outer, are created through the Source energy reacting to us rather than the other way around.

Of course that is just my own opinion and thought process at the moment.

I have thought along the same lines as given in these responses.

I especially wonder at Nameless' excellent point and I think her characterization of Source "repurposing energy" is an insight that currently resonates with me.

Then again, maybe Source's purpose is to experience and learn some new aspects through all of us that are its expression within this Reality. Lumaza and some others have perhaps pointed towards possible insights our particular evolution may be directed towards- Love and Empathy. Empathy especially seems to be lacking in some NP environments such as Retrievals; and this consistently repeats as a quality earthbound humans can uniquely provide.

Maybe it's not that Source isn't aware of this quality, but that Source recognizes the need for the increase.
