It plays binaural sound to make your brain operate at a specific frequency. The right frequency can make OBE easier. 200 hz in one ear and 205 hz in the other will make the brain run at 5 hz.

Probably depends on the generator and how it's configured.  I write my own programs, and I select a carrier tone that sounds nice to my ears, so the beat frequency does also.  If you listened to a typical session on mine you'd hear a gentle, soft hum at, let's say, middle "C", a soft blue light gently  pulsing to the beat freq. on the eyelids, and then the sound of my voice..."You will send me ten dollars when you wake upppppppp."
I'll send you that program free, ha ha.
One other thing, I experimented until I found the sound I like best.  Sometimes I add ocean surf just because I like it and so on.
Find some you can download and give it a try to see if it's your cup of rosy lee.  You might like it,

Hi Forgotten Flame 13,

There is a great thread that was started by Adrian on the Brainwave Generator. I've posted a link below in case you're interested.

There is also another started by Spastral at:

Also, if you look at the Brain Sync website, you'll find you can get a binaural CD for $14.95 (USD). The one I use is called Deep Meditation but they have a lot to choose from.

Their website is at:

Exactly what do the brainwave generators sound like and do when they capture your brainwaves and guide the (or whatever) to astrally project or have a lucid dream?[?]

Do they even work? [?]

Free bwgen at www.bwgen.com Haven't tried it, but it's better than paying 50 bucks to get a cd.
