there is a tek in astral dynamics.  have you read the book?

i can't remember what it is but i think i remember robert saying it worked almost every time, or something like that.

Greetings,

There is a very powerful technique for inducing WILD (which by definition is Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming) which sometimes results in an OBE.

Basically, set your alarm clock to wake up two hours earlier than usual, get up and do something for twenty minutes or so until you are fully awake, and then go back to bed. That's about it.

With best regards,

Adrian.

Here's something that worked for me last time.
I had watched an astronomy program. I was mystified in the prospect of how we as humans connect with the universe. After going to bed I reviewed the visuals shown in the program I had just watched (universe pictures). I thought about how I wanted to clarity and know more. I kept my eyes closed and upon seeing nothing I began to imagine fuzzy inignificant colors and shapes. I kept thinking "clarity" and what clarity looks like when I'm up and around. Not a particular picture just what clarity or a sharp picture looks like. A picture began forming. It was an image of a vehicle on a street. The vehicle turns into a driveway. The picture wasn't as clear as I had wanted but I stayed with the visual scene. As the vehicle pulled into the driveway suddenly I saw the sun reflected in the window of the passenger window. Then the reflection of the sun gave off a momentarily blinding glare. Then the glare passed and the the vison of the car continued.
I'm not sure this is what is considered wild but it was the first time I recall dreaming or even dreaming lucid with the sun being in it. I thought it was remarkable progress.

I wouldn't consider myself a "successful" LDer, but in a way I guess I have been.  The technique I've been most successful with has been practicing dream recall, and interrupted sleep...   let me explain I guess.  Like I said, I'm not incredibly successful, but I believe that it's mostly due to my laziness towards the practice of LDing.  Try keeping a journal everyday and writing by hand and you'll see what I mean.  But do it anyway.  Keep a journal of your dreams religiously.  Give yourself "special time" to practice lucid dreaming, and stick to this.  What I'll do is go to sleep much earlier than I would normally.  I'll set my alarm for a few hours before I mean to wake, and then when I do wake from the alarm I lay there and think about my dreams, and if I remember any I'll write them down.  After only a few minutes I'll set the alarm again for the time I really do want to get up, and then I lay back down and concentrate on trying to have an LD.  At this point you can try several methods.  One pretty successful one for me is to simply watch your eyelids.  You want to try to stay awake mentally and yet have your body fall asleep.  I find that watching for scenery behind my eyelids helps me do this the best of anything.  Don't try too hard to see anything though.  Just let things come and go as they please, and eventually they will get very strong and vivid.  It's easy to let this excite you when it does get very strong, and this is something I'm still wrestling with.  Anyway, try this...  let me know how it works for you.

Thanks, I tried a mix of everything and it was almost a dream or at least a scene, cut then I snapped out of it.

Just wondering, does anyone have any techniques for WILD? The only one I know of is to repeat to yourself, I shall transition from wakefullness to dreaming and concentrating until you see the colors in your eyes turn to solid objects to a dream. But that sounds like an astral projection tech. I've heard. [?][:(]
