Unfortunately you cant be sure. This is the reason why I am extremely weary of any being that is communicated to and is communicating back via means such as a pendulum or a ouiji board or any other form like that. Infact im very weary of any person or other being until I feel that that person/other-being has proven they can be trusted. It could take months, years or never for me to trust but such is the level of my precautions.

Hephaestus is spot on! As Adrian put it in another post - "I know we are told that the pendulum is different to a Ouija board, but the fact still remains that when it comes to spirit beings influencing the physical world, it is the very lowest beings that can and usually do this most effectively and for their own purposes."

The thing to remember is the pendulum is just a tool. It can be very useful if used correctly, but care must be taken. It works directly via our subconscious, and can be used for chanelling info from astral beings, or from our own higher selves. Chanelling in any form is risky, and should be done with great care.

thanks for responding, but when i talk thru the pendulum i have a strong feeling that its to my spirit guide. and i usually make sure by first asking if its my spirit guide.
