incubus or sth else?

where have you read information about the incubus? Im also interested to know where others have obtained this name from.

As far as im aware the Incubus is and always has been a Demon (possibly maybe demons, called Incubi) that fed off the life energy of new born babys.
The word Incubus is somewhat close to the name of an 'Incubator', often new born babys are placed in incubators - at some level the word Incu is related to the demon and babys. Perhaps Incu is latin - im not entirely sure.

Im aware that the succubus is a demon relating to draining of peoples energy and is sometimes responsible for the causing of sexual arousal but the Incubus to me, has and always will be what it has always been in old literature, a demon that fed off new born babies. Why it's name has been extended to become another breed of succubus I have no idea.

Incubus is described in "Practical psychic self defense" by Robert Bruce as the male variation of the Succubus, Demon that feeds on sexual energy release by orgasm. (I doubt this was one for me for the sensation was very soft and mild) He uses incubus term for both male and female assuming they have exactly the same essence, and choose what their appearance will be according to their victim.

Actually this book is really gloomy, don't read it at night!

Incubus and Sucubus are not demons, they are a class of entity known as schemata. They are not particularly high level entities being just above elementaries. These entities feed on sexual energy which they try to generate in the victim by getting invoking strong sexual reactions to which the victim can become dependant. The only way of breaking the control of these entities is to resist the sexual pleasure they bring using sheer willpower.

Frère: from what you have said I would say that what you are experiencing is activity of the sacral chakra, and is therefore nothing to be concerned about. Before meditation you might like to consider working on all of your chakras to bring them into balance.

I agree with Adrian on what you experienced, Frere. I suggest you stop reading that book until you are more familar with the basics of energy and projecting. It seems to be giving you a negative view of the basic sensations and experiences. This will not be productive as you explore further into this. Once you are more familar with how things are then you can come back to the book if you wish. That is my personal opinion as to what would help you most for now.

That's what I needed to read Fallnangel.
I had actually decided to do so because I've been ill on monday, and threw up two times, and the more I thought about negs, the more I felt ill, so I decided I was going to learn how to just know they are everywhere, and ignore them. It's not easy to do this in your head: feeling it somewhere, ready to feed on the attention you give it, and trying to live your life normally... This little desease was a great lesson about negs: it just said to me, that in most cases, the negs I feel in my life, will only harm me as they usually do: according to circumstances, and especially on my state of mind, it's a kind of psychosomatic thing, now I realise it's always running in the background, but it should not prevent me from having a normal life just because I know more about it... But still I realise it has taken a great importance in a very short time, and I step back with prudence!

I was meditating, and suddenly I started to feel like some slight fingers were touching me. evetualy I felt also sort of an ectoplasm spread around my sex, so I wonder, is there a possibility that despite a great lack of fear or sexual arousal, this could be some kind of incubus?
